My son is a very very picky eater and last year was very hard when sending hot items that would be cold by lunch time and he wouldn't eat anything. I found this product and it has done wonders for him with keeping his food either cold and/or hot at the same time until lunch time! He eats his lunch this year so far and loves this lunch box and helps pack it every night before and heat up the items that need to be the morning of! I would highly recommend for picky eaters. My son started Kindergarten this August. One of the item was required for him to have was lunch box. A couple of my friends recommended me to get Omie lunch box. I was not sure if it worth to spent almost $50, but I decided to buy this one after I looked what is available at Target and other stores. And I am glad I did. Needed a bigger lunchbox that could fit two sandwiches. My son occasionally wants hot food for lunch that we were previously using a separate thermos for, but I didn’t want so many pieces that my son could lose.     • So Jealous I Didn’t Have This When I Was Young!
It’s very easy to use for my kindergartner if you’re worried about that. My son is actually excited to show his friends how cool his lunchbox is and it fits perfect in a regular sized lunchbox if you still want to keep that or it can just be carried solo! I was worried a bit when I saw the price but it is worth every penny! If you are considering purchasing this, your kid will use this for quite some time if you follow instructions that Omiebox gives you. I noticed that someone mentioned that it doesn’t keep the food warm but I tested that theory and followed instructions and the lack of warmth is completely FALSE. As long as you put hot water in the thermos for the 5 minutes, as instructed, YOU ARE FINEEEE. Take care of it and follow instructions and this will be something you keep for a while!     • Fantastic, almost perfect!
I had been eyeing this lunchbox for years and am so happy I finally went for it—and so glad I got it after the redesign! My kiddos prefer hot lunches, so I’d constantly find myself packing multiple containers. I had hesitated to buy this lunchbox for so long because I like to avoid plastic as much possible. And although I do still wish it weren’t plastic, I figured that since I don’t put hot food in the plastic compartments, I don’t really have to worry about toxins leaching into the food. I also wish the little divider didn’t move and slip off so easily, as my LO lost his after only a few uses. I wish it clicked in, somehow. Luckily, they sell replacements and I guess it’s not that different from using little containers to divide (which they also sell) as those can just as easily get lost. All in all, it’s beautiful, very well-made, love all the accessories they sell, love that it has a handle (so you don’t need separate bag), the compartments are very roomy (even for older kids), and the thermos compartment is just genius.
