I love this dress! This is a very versatile dress and can be dressed up or down with accessories like jewelry or silk scarves, and sandals or sneakers! So many options depending on the occasion! It’s a medium weight, opaque, buttery soft fabric. It‘s very well made AND it has pockets! I love the design of the sleeve holes as it covers the side/underarm bra area and the design makes it unique! It is great for all seasons, as it’s cool enough for summer wear with sandals or sneakers (Texas) or winter wear with a little jacket and booties/boots. I ordered it in black first and in my usual size and one size up just to see which fit I liked better. It fits true to size but I sized up so it would be oversized/loose. My usual size fit but did not have any extra room at all in the belly/hip area and had no room for possible shrinkage so I sized up to make it a loose fit and extra insurance in case there was any shrinkage in the laundry. I wash it inside out in cold water in washing machine and hang it to dry. Comes out perfect every time with no shrinkage and after many washes still looks new. For reference, I am a 6“ tall, plus sized woman and it is the perfect fit and length!! I love this dress so much, I purchased it in several solid colors, all beautiful! Black Dark Coffee Dark Green Navy Blue Royal Blue Wine Red It’s super comfortable and great for travel. No wrinkling! Can use a steamer if needed. I would not risk using an iron on it. Right now it‘s on a GREAT sale so if you’re considering it, order asap before the price goes back up. If you miss the sale, the regular price is still super inexpensive especially for the quality. The dress is very soft, it has pockets, and it can be dressed up or down. I wore it to my grandmother's funeral and got a lot of compliments. The fabric was very nice, not just regular t-shirt material. It was dressier than that. Sadly, the cap sleeves were really wide and looked odd on my body. It was very comfortable and fit nicely, except it was way too long. I know it's a maxi dress and it's supposed to reach the floor, but this dragged on the floor. I'm contemplating having someone hem it because it was affordable and the fabric was nice, but it's probably going back. I'm sad. I can't order maxi dresses, I'm too short. ... show more

So I hate polyester I don't want plastic on or in my body I ordered this dress anyway because: I sew, and I liked the extremely simple cut and wanted to copy the idea to make use of some amazing buttery soft merino knit fabric I'd bought a limited amount of (because it's expensive) Well trying this dress on, I surprised myself with immediately wanting to keep it. It's polyester yes. But they did good. It's like a satin on one side (like a slip) so it slips over the body and doesn't cling anywhere, and the other side of the fabric finds the halfway point between like a thick T-shirt and a swimsuit. I imagine it'll dry quickly if I get rained on, but it also feels both sturdy and stretchy without having any part that will cling and make me sweat (like poly loves to do) It has pockets. It'll layer for different temperatures just fine. It's a big square but manages to be flattering. It covers the shoulders just enough that I think I can wear it to work where it gets hot as hell but dress code says you need sleeves And I actually love the little triangle of fabric they put in the armpit so your bra doesn't show, but it also isn't snug and doesn't dig or cling (I hate hate hate stuff clinging to my pits when it gets hot out) Yes it's very long but I don't mind. I'm thinking I'm going to raise the slit by several inches to rock it sort of like a long kurti with harem pants or even bike shorts underneath. So yeah I'm keeping this inexpensive plastic dress which I really never in a million years thought I'd do. I'm still going to probably use this pattern to copy for some of my expensive linen and merino fabrics. ... show more

    • Long and not flattering for plus sized apple shaped body

I purchased this dress after seeing it in several plus sized influencers. Unfortunately this was just not for me! The dress is very long. I’m 5’4” and with sneakers the dress was barely off the ground. If I wanted to wear sandals it would have dragging. I’m an apple shaped body type and I felt like I was just putting on a long sack. Nothing about how the dress fit was attractive at all in my opinion. The arm holes were large and sat weirdly with my wide shoulders. I couldn’t find anything appealing in the look. The fabric was soft. The pockets would have worked well but sat strange when you had something in them. The dress seemed to be well constructed. I think if I was taller and a different shape I might have liked it. This just was not for me. ... show more
