I bought this (48" long desk) for a small clinical office room and it's perfect. My requirements were having enough space to place a laptop, no foot bar or 'x' brackets across the back, and to sit across from someone with enough breathing room for the both of us. Not having the back of the desk obstructed with support bars was a difficult find! This desk has smaller support bars at the corners and I have actually turned the desk around so that those bars (the 'back' of the desk) is on my side. This way, patients/clients can sit comfortably without running into support bars on their side. The height of this desk is just right for this purpose, too. I've had less expensive desk purchases before and over time, they loosen, wiggle, and sway. The way that this desk is constructed, though, I don't foresee that happening or if it does, I should be able to tighten up the screws again. This is such an amazing desk for the price. I did get it on sale but I would buy it even for its original price tag. It's roomy, it's sturdy (although does wobble a tiny bit on carpet but that's to be expected) and I love the rustic wood style that I got. It was super easy to put together, and I just love it overall. The 48" rustic wood style holds my laptop, a little lamp, my salt lamp, a good size fake plant, a mesh desk organizer among other little stuff like a coaster for my hot tea and water, phone holder, a crystal, etc and still have room to write and lay out some books. The desk is a perfect height with my chair and it is comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this desk for anyone who needs space for their computer and printer, or just wants to study and write on it. ... show more

Update: I got the other desk in and have them arranged in an L shape. These desks are very low profile which works really well for me as I share an office with 2 others. This is exactly as described and what I was looking for. I am going to go ahead and get another one to make an L desk out of them. I didn't realize my stuff was going to take up this much room on my desk. That's totally my fault though. One corner was a tad scuffed when it arrived but I figure it happened during transit. It was packed really well though, so I'm surprised it had that little ding. But otherwise it was perfectly fine. It only took me about 10 minutes to put together by myself. I'll update with more pics once I get the other desk arranged with it. ... show more

Bought the first one for my son, and he loves it, and it turned out to be surprisingly great quality for the price. The metal bars aren't the absolute strongest, and if you over tighten the screws you can bend the screw hole inward. That said, the table top is great, and overall it makes for a pretty sturdy build with all the supports. The pouch on the side was my daughter's favorite part of it. After assembling two of these, takes no more than 10 minutes to do. Keep in mind these are sort of tall, so not really meant for small kids. I would recommend a good chair that can change height, just in case. ... show more

This little, inexpensive table was perfect for a small area, art table!! I love it. It is sturdy, fits perfectly where I needed it and I use it daily for watercolor painting and craft projects. I am old, so this was easy peasy to put together and place!
