If you own a Rapsodo Launch Monitor this is a NO BRAINER! The MLM2Pro requires RPT balls to track spin and there are only two manufacturers that provide them - Titleist and Callaway, two of the most expensive ball manufacturers out there. Titleist ProV1 and Callaway Tour Soft are the highest priced balls in the US and are all that’s available with the dots necessary for the monitor to read spin. And they cost $70 a dozen! However this little device securely holds your preferred golf ball and using a permanent marker you just fill in the holes and viola! You’ve got an RPT ball. So instead of $70 I paid $11.99 a dozen for my TaylorMade Speed Soft balls used, 5A Mint and five minutes later I’ve got the same quality ball! Saves me plenty!

This stencil is effective. Not perfect, but effective. The pattern basically matches the MLM2PRO RPT custom balls. The circle dots on their balls are slightly larger and more pronounced, but if you take you time you can make this work VERY well. Don't use a Sharpie pen. I first labelled 12 balls with a Sharpie and it smears, fades and comes off on your simulator screen and on your clubs. The balls quickly become a mess. I then saw a video where the guy used an All-Weather Plastic Tag Marker shown in my photo. It's available on Amazon and it is AWESOME! I have labelled 24 balls, hit them daily for the last 10 days, and as you can see, the dots show very little wear so far. Cleaning your clubs and the balls regularly is helpful, but with this template and the correct pen, I'm enoying a full set of practice balls that should hold up pretty well. Also, once marked, you can always touch them up without the template. The pen does take some getting used to in order to dispense the correct amount of ink, but it's worth it.

It took a few tries to get the hang of this, but my husband now has many balls that are tracking perfectly for his simulator. The sharpie marks do wear off after a few rounds, but it's easy enough to remark them and he's happy with this simple, affordable gadget.

This is second one I got, thought a different brand would work better. Maybe I'm not smart enough but you get a lot of smudges and even after a few days, you get sharpie all over your irons. Tried a paint pen also and that just chips off. You bought a cool simulator and saved a lot of money, use some of it and get a box of balls from Rapsodo, buy once cry once.

Do not use these, the marker WILL mark up your impact screen and ruin it. Spend the extra money and buy the proper balls, balls are cheaper then buying a new impact screen when it gets too marked up.
