This is my second pair of Old West boots. The first pair Black Cherry turned out to be Red. Not a fan but they fit well for a 9.5 wide foot. I shined them up with Black Lincoln wax and they turned into a nice Oxblood with a developing mirror shine a go-to anywhere boot from dirt to dance floor. This second pair with a suede finish had the same no break-in fit and a nice darkish brown color. Sprayed them with. Tarrago Nano Silicone waterproof protective spray and now I have a great everyday casual boot that looks great and should last long. Both Old West boots are well made, comfortable, quality boots for a affordable price. I like everything about them and they can be resoled a long way down the road but, they’ve earned my business when looking for a new pair of boots. ... show more

This is my first pair of this style of boot, they seem decently well made. A leather-like sole wooden heel with tacked on rubber. The kind of boots that can be repaired once you ware out the heel. Be warned they seem narrower than regular shoes so if your foot is at all on the wide side opt for the wide version of your particular size, also I read a recommendation to go up half a size to make sure that you will be able to pull them on and that turns out to be true. ... show more

These boots are exactly what the brand says… “Old west boots”…. Not some fancy, fake, city boy, special insole, blah blah blah…. I’d say ole John “The Duke” Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Glen Campbell & all the real men of old wore boots identical to these….Look here, I’ve had my first pair around 4 years and the bottoms are starting to wear out…. TOUGH STITCHING, GOOD LEATHER & Plain ole boots!!!!! These boots are the closest thing to having only socks on you’ll find… Just buy them and be a man!!!!!! ... show more

Just received, wore around the house for a couple of days before wearing outside. Spent a full day in them and they were pretty comfortable, might need to insert a heel cushion for long wear. A little heavy, but was expected (a lot of leather). As these will not be every day wear, I expect them to hold up to a quality boot. They look great with black jeans.     • Paper Thin Leather Cling Wrap Boots!

I ordered the Black Cherry boots a half size bigger like it says in the description, they were to big. They shipped the box in a plastic mailer. Box was damaged. Anyways, the leather on these boots are paper thin. I tried them on and the top of my feet felt like I put on cling wrap. The leather is so thin I was afraid it was going to tear taking my foot out! If these got wet it would be a paper machete mess! I can’t believe how thin they are! The thin leather on the shaft was crinkled and wavy, not smooth at all. I instantly requested a return! I do not recommend these. They wouldn’t last a day! Spend the extra money on a better quality boot. I ended up going to the Ariat store and bought their roper for $90 bucks out the door!
