It took just under three hours to install (I am handy and am familiar with building projects). The instructions are okay - pictures only. I'm almost done with assembly, but I received two of the same parts! What a bummer! I reached out to have the missing part sent to me. It's such a letdown to get nearly to the end and discover that we received a duplicate part while missing the other. What a disappointment!

We actually purchased this as a coffee bar and for extra storage space in our kitchen since we don’t have a lot of cabinets. It did take several hours for my husband to put together, but it is overall, very durable and well built, (and heavy). Was impressed with the quality of it, except for the very top- which is not real wood- which we can always replace down the road.
