**Rated down due to shady review seeking practice** I wanted a simple, cute plant stand and this shelf works fine. The issues I have are that the legs aren't flush and straight where they are joined together. Also, the manufacturer pays for 5-star reviews which irritates me (card included in the package with instructions). I rely on reviews when making purchases, maybe you do as well. Just know that this may affect the reviews of this product, and possibly others that are similar. A few other things: 1. Overall, it's a decently nice shelf. Not one I'd put in my living room, but the office is fine. 2. The pressboard shelves are sturdy/heavy and put together well so that the top layer seems like it won't peel off soon. 3. Shelves aren't adjustable, for me that's not a deal-breaker, but it would have been nice. 4. The misaligned legs don't (at the moment) seem to affect the sturdiness of the piece. But the alignment issues are obvious and present on all the legs. 5. I made a small adjustment to the instructions, flipping the bolts that hold back cross members to face inwards (nuts not facing wall). I didn't want the wallboard scratched up. I also added felt pads to the heads of the bolts facing the wall to protect the paint. All in all, not a bad shelf. I'd have given it 3.5 stars if not for the bad business behavior. ... show more

I am not at all a handy person by any means so I was nervous to order this, but it took me all of 10 minutes (on my own) to put together so it’s super easy to assemble. The media could not be loaded. I just finished building this bookshelf, and it's beautiful! It was very well-packaged, and very easy to assemble, following the included instructions. I didn't have any issues with assembly, everything was pre-drilled correctly and it all lined up nicely. For a tall shelf, it's very stable. I honestly have no idea where to start with this review but I guess we can go with ordering it; waiting a while and then receiving an email that my order was cancelled and refunded - with no explanation. Of course when I went to repurchase it was more expensive too but stupidly, I still bought it. The ONLY reason this has good reviews is because they pay you to leave a good review. This shelf is junk. The holes are not lined up; some aren't big enough so the screw won't even go in and now the shelf is half together and I gotta take it apart to send back since it won't stand straight due to the shoddy craftsmanship. Save yourself the time and money and don't buy this!! It has number stickers everywhere that leave residue. The shelving has a terrible odor. Let them sit out overnight before building because it was so bad and even at that, it is still a bad smell. ... show more

I may have liked this shelf but will never know since the company cannot figure out how to provide me with the correct hardware to assemble. I contacted the company 8 days ago asking for the missing screws that somehow didn’t make it into the box. I just received the additional hardware and now I was given screws that do not even go with the shelf, an odd amount of the screws I didn’t need, and 3 of the 16 screws I requested. I already expressed the urgency of the hardware I needed, and now I would have to wait another week to see what mystery screws they will send me this time. Don’t waste your time. You’ll just have a huge box taking up your floor space for the next several weeks. ... show more

It was a crisp autumn afternoon when the shelf arrived. Earlier that morning, a large bird visited me in a dream and wove me a sweater made from the ears of 32 fish. One of those fish was named Thomas Hernandez. He is an acceptable bass saxophone player who frequented the arcades in late 90s.
