Only had it a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to long-term durability. Very well-organized laptop pack. Description says a small 17" laptop will fit, but my 17" (1 3/16" thick) engineering workstation fits, albeit snugly. Well-padded laptop compartment. Lots of external pockets for everything I need. Cavernous compartment for files, notebooks etc. My portable 17" monitor just fits in there, along with my notepad, several file folders, an umbrella and my rain shell. I am a consultant and travel every week. There is plenty of room for all the devices and cables that I need. Pockets are designed so that the pack is low-profile and will fit under any seat in any aircraft. Customer service is fantastic. I accidentally broke off my sternum strap, so I called to get a replacement...they replaced the entire laptop case! Very comfortable fully loaded on my back with plenty of padding and comfortable shoulder straps. Sternum strap is highly adjustable and slides up and down on a rail. I'm 6', 200 pounds and I have the shoulder straps adjusted at the full length. Anyone larger might need to extend those straps. If you like to carry a water bottle, it doesn't accommodate them well. I just put mine in the main compartment.

I'd been eyeing this bag for months waiting for the dark static color to get back into stock. When it finally did I immediately pulled the trigger and haven't regretted it for a second! This bag is high quality and stylish. Roomy, but compacted. Mine main work computer is an Asus G14, which easily fits into the computer sleeve on the back and keeps it well protected. I also have a 15.6" Asus Zenscreen I carry around as a second monitor in the main compartment. Even with that chunky portable screen there's enough room for few note pads or any other goodies I may need. The other pockets are a perfect size for charging cables and my Amazon basics 100w portable charger. I rarely use the sunglass pocket for glasses, but instead keep a small 8BitDo gaming controller in there along with my medicine pillbox. The other top pocket contains pencils, pens, typical office supplies. The side pockets are stellar as well. One contains my Leatherman, while the other perfectly houses my G305 mouse. I've been caught out in the rain a few times and while the bag does retain the dampness, I've never had anything soak in completely. However, I do have an external rain cover I carry just in case things get really wild. This pack is extremely comfortable and breathes well. I got it during the winter months, but so far with the raise in temperature, my bad and shoulders have stayed cool. For a backpack this is on the pricy side, but you 100% get what you pay for! This was an excellent investment that should last me for years to come.

This is the second bag I've bought of the Renegade. The first one was thrown away yesterday after two years of continuous use. These are great bags and quality built. Tons of storage space. Two things I wish it had. Larger shoulder straps. I can't wear this bookbag because I'm wide so I single sling it over my shoulder. Not a big deal because that's how I'd carry it most of the time if it did fit. Second thing is maybe some integral molle webbing to attach things. I will be buying another whenever this one gives.

I have heavily used this bag for 5 years now and it’s going strong! No signs of major wear (high quality materials used), no tears, no issues with zippers, nothing. This bag is used for my commute to and from work as well as work and leisure trips. For work, I always have a computer, books, lunch bag, snacks, Yeti, and the just in case things like ibuprofen, cords, etc. Some days, I will alway toss in running shoes and clothes. Holds it all! With the abuse this bag has gone through, I am really surprised I haven’t lost a handle or zipper or have a tear or something. Great quality! So much space that is well designed for maximizing every inch. My favorites: protective hard pocket for sunglasses or eye glasses and the main section for storing so much stuff and keeping it well protected! My only “wish” for this bag would be a better drink holder spot.

This is an incredibly well-made backpack as are all OGIO products. I've had many of their backpacks over the past 20 years! I bought this to replace my OGIO "Gambit" backpack which is almost identical to this "Renegade" model. The one difference is the zippered laptop compartment in the back. On the "Gambit" that compartment unzips all the way around the back pack on both sides. On the "Renegade", the laptop compartment is much sturdier and more padded, but as a result it only unzips across the top. While the compartment opening is wide enough it's very shallow so it is extremely snug on your laptop. The major downside for me is that it's so snug, I can barely get my hands in there without scraping them on the stitching. This may not be an issue for others, but for me, it was actually painful. So while it offers fantastic protection for your computer or tablet - It is hard on the hands!
