    • Nice product, but color is a little darker than the picture
Not the easiest assemble - pay someone to do it or have someone who's strong and good at putting things together (we were lucky enough to have an intern that fit the bill). Nice quality, looks a little darker in person than the picture, however.

    • Horrible directions and now a problem with the drawers
There is nothing inherently difficult about putting this together -- once you figure out things. The instructions are just short of useless. Here's some tips ... Don't open all the boxes at once because you will have multiple pieces labeled 1 - 2 - 3. Next put the base parts together and then set the top on top of the bottom pieces. The side table return section can go on either side of the desk and depending on which side will determine which side you put the "leg" or bottom end piece. Make sure you have it right before you put the lock screws in. To install the pedestal drawer section, you must remove the drawers. I have made 4 calls and yes, I know technically how the drawers are suppose to be removed, but both my husband and I have read, watched, and tugged and pulled and they will not come out. That means I am unable to install the drawer section. There was a very nice lady in Customer Service that has emailed me 13 or more times trying to work this problem - trying to get 2 men involved who refused to have an actual conversation with me. Other than all of this...it's not a bad desk. There is some "grain" appearance to the "wood", so it looks nice and not as "red" as the picture shows online. I have dark mahogany furniture it blends well even though they don't match. If only I could complete the installation, I might could recommend it. UPDATE: we took the drawer set to a local dealer and they repaired the gliding mechanism so the top drawer could be removed. They said there was a defect in the railings on the top drawer. We were so hung up on the top drawer, that we didn't try to remove the bottom drawer; which in hindsight would have allowed us to install the drawer set. The bottom drawer worked fine. ... show more

    • Really nice looking desk
Nice desk. Came undamaged and went together pretty easy. I bought a total of 3 for offices. Will see how they hold up. Update: The staff really likes them. Holding up well many months later.
