  • Fitment
Size was just right. Lightweight and comfortable. Shipping was fast too. Great hiking boot

  • Versatile and Comfy
These boots have been great! Used them in the Northern Cascades as hiking boots and they gave great support and traction. Now using them for runaround boots as the snow starts to fly in MN. They fit great, stylish, and are truly waterproof. Definitely recommend!

  • Nice casual and light hiking shoe
I like these shoes, they are very light, comfortable, and look good in a sporty-casual way. I also have the all leather version of these, and as another reviewer mentioned, the leather version fits a bit more loosely and is a bit heavier, but not enough to make any real difference. Both are great, but I actually like this version better. I got it in the "Pine" color and it looks good. I cannot speak for longevity, so I am just giving four stars for now. UPDATE: Two months in an I am still loving these shoes. They are very comfortable on the trail and on the sidewalk. I am 6', 240 lbs and they work well for me. They are very light weight, yet provide nice shock absorption. For heavy duty hiking or hiking with a heavy pack, I would go with a heavier boot, but this is a great light weight everyday shoe. They have really formed to my feet and feel great. I walk at least 20 miles a week in these shoes...so I would guess I have 150-200 miles on these shoes, and so far they are holding up well, and the tread is wearing very slowly. Some reviews complain about these shoes being hard to take off, but it does not bother me. It just takes a few seconds to loosen the laces in the upper few lace holes, then slide your foot out. A positive is that these shoes won't fall off if your laces come untied, like they can on shoes with speed-hooks. And there are no speed hooks to catch on anything. I am an 11 1/2 in many shoes. I got these in 12 and they work well for me with medium thickness socks. I still have plenty of toe space and room for swelling in hot weather. 11 1/2 probably would have worked, too, with thin socks, but I think 1/2 size up was a better choice for me. Update: I originally found these shoes to be poor on snow and ice, but I have been wearing them all winter long here in NH this year, walking every day, on sidewalks and easy forest paths, and they have been working just fine. They keep my feet warm and dry as long as I am active, and the grip is surprisingly good. Obviously, if you are doing serious winter trekking on challenging terrain, you would want a more aggressive tread, but these shoes have worked fine for me this winter. After wearing many shoes and boots over the years, I've decided that careful foot placement, balance, and keeping a low center of gravity are the real keys to winter walking, and no super-shoe is going to keep you from slipping and falling if you walk like an idiot. UPDATE 7-5-23: I just broke out a new pair of these shoes and started using them for walking/light hiking. The other pair I have relegated to casual use; there is still plenty of tread in most areas, but the tread in the area of the ball of the foot has worn probably 75-85% (15% left in that area) so traction is affected, and cushioning is not as good as it was, insoles compressed, and the heel padding blew out a bit. All shoes compress and wear over time. I got about 8 months out of the first pair. I am guessing 400-500 miles. If you are a lightweight person, you'd probably get 6-700 miles out of these. I think that is decent for a modern shoe. I weigh 240 lbs, so I put quite a bit of strain on them as they hit the pavement and wear them out quicker. These shoes just work great for me. I have two more pairs, and may buy another, since it is so hard to find shoes that I enjoy walking in. ... show more

  • Very lightweight!
Oboz makes a great hiker! These were far lighter than I expected, but they are comfortable , have excellent traction and they are actually waterproof as advertised!

  • Great fit. Too hard
Initially I thought they were going to great. Fit was perfect. I soon realized they lacked the cushion and comfort I require.

  • Good product.
I own the leather version of these boots as well and both are great. These are lighter and a touch tighter but great product.
