These sunglasses are great for everyday use, and the polarization makes them particularly useful for driving, especially on rainy days. They make my visual field very crisp and clear. The glasses came with a stiff clamshell case and a drawstring bag, which functions very well to protect the glasses. There was also a cleaning kit, but I usually clean my Oakleys with Dawn Dishwashing liquid and warm water. I am sure the kit probably works just as well, though. The arms of the sunglasses grip around your head firmly yet comfortably. The nose pieces support holding the glasses in place on your head. These glasses are very lightweight, although durable. OK, we are a family firmly in another sunglasses brand. But what the heck, why not try them out. All in all, these are pretty nice. The lenses are crisp and clear, they're polarized so huge benefit in the weird Midwest setting sun blinding me as I drive category. But as for value, I don't know I'd rule out other similar products. Additionally, the size of these on my husband's face just look bizarre, and he doesn't have a huge face? Regardless, 10/10 for functionality 7/10 for fit ... show more

Yeah, the Holbrook. You put them on and instantly the world feels a little sharper. Lenses are ridiculously clear, colors hit differently, glare disappears like it never existed and the prizm effect actually makes a noticeable difference. The frame is solid but light so it sits comfortably without slipping or digging in anywhere. You forget you are wearing them unless someone asks about them and then you shrug like it is nothing even though you know it is not nothing. The style is effortless in a way that is kind of annoying if you care about that sort of thing. Matte finish, little metal rivets, Oakley logo in the corner, tiny details that make it obvious you have spent some thought on your sunglasses but it does not scream at anyone. You could wear these while grabbing coffee, hiking, or just wandering downtown and you would look like you were born to wear them. People notice, or maybe they do not, but either way you feel untouchable. Comfort and fit are surprisingly good for a frame that looks this classic. Medium to large faces fit nicely and the XL sizing feels generous without looking oversized. And they are not just for show. If you wear prescription lenses, Oakley can hook you up so you get the same look and performance without squinting through your day. Value is what you'd expect from Oakley. You get what you pay for here. You're buying a reputable brand, not a knock-off. People know, you know, it just works. If you wanna spend $20 on shades, go ahead. But again, people know... Downsides? These are sunglasses and they do their job perfectly. They look good, they feel good, and they make you look like you care about exactly the right amount of stuff. I have multiple other pairs of Holbrooks so I knew what I was getting when I got these ones. The Holbrook is a classic look that doesn’t go out of style, in my opinion. These are comfortable glasses and provide a nice range of eye coverage. They fit my smaller face nicely. Not at all overwhelming. The purple accents on the frames look awesome and compliment the Prizm Violet lenses really nicely. My only negative is that looking through the lenses makes certain colors look dull. Oakleys are pricier sunglasses and they totally warrant that price tags. The quality is consistently there. Overall though, they are really cool glasses. ... show more

I am never one to spend too much on sunglasses as I tend to misplace them. And I will qualify that I did not have to pay full price for these. With that said, these are very nice. They feel well-made and solid while still being reasonably lightweight and comfortable to wear. The matte finish looks good - it is smoother than other matte finishes I've seen, but still probably an accurate description. The polarized lenses do a nice job of eliminating glare, without blocking too much light - this is big for me. I often forgo sunglasses, because I end up taking them on an off as I move in and out of sunlight, especially driving. These are able to stay on more often than others, allowing me to still see well when I move out of the sun. The package includes two drawstring storage bags (no rigid case), a microfiber cloth, and a spray bottle of cleanser. All in all, yes, these are quite a bit better than $20 drug store sunglasses. Are then more than 10 times better? Hard to say. Product quality alone, these are an easy five star rating. Value...? ... show more
