I like this rash guard especially when in areas where the sun is particularly strong. I used it in Fiji and the day before I really struggled to keep the sun out of my eyes in the late afternoon. The hood/visor really does work and keeps you from needing your hands to shade your vision. Care for the garment is pretty simple. Just rinse thoroughly with fresh water after your session. The only critical part of my assessment is that it runs a little on the small side. I like to have rash guards snug when I'm surfing so that I don't grab them unintentionally when I'm pushing off the deck of my board to pop-up. However, this one is just a little too tight in my opinion. I'm 5'10" and ~190lbs and I purchased an XL.

I usually take a large in every kind of shirt. Even those shirts that are snug still are okay in size large for me. This thing is really really way way too small. Unless it's been mislabeled it's even on the small size of a medium. I would have returned it but I waited too long to wear it so I'm either going to sell it or donate it. Other than that it's a good product.

I spent a week snorkeling and didn't get a bit of sunburn; it also added a little warmth in the water. For my use going up one size was perfect. I'm 5'10" and got the large which was more than long enough and stretchy. For surfing or bodysurfing I would not go up more than one size because you want it tight. I tend to get a thin sunburn between my mask and the hood on a wetsuit so I wanted a short brim. This brim was too long and tended to flip up when doing duck dives. I trimmed it to about 1/2 the original length and now it's about right. The pocket was great for putting my key fob in a ziplock inside of a cell-phone waterproof pouch.

The product itself seems alright. However the sizes run very small. I usually buy small, but for this item, I had to buy a large, and it still doesn't fit quit right. Sleeves a little too short, and waist could be lower. Also the hood is a little tight getting on and off. But the overall design and quality of the product seems good.

Total A+ purchase for me. Purchased for trip to Hawaii that included lots of snorkeling. Didn't have to worry about sunblock staying on my head which kept me from being sunburned the entire trip. I always wear a large in all shirts but did end up returning the large for an XL which fit great. It does fit like the skin of a grape so unless you have a great body it'll show off some curves. However, totally worth it to me for the sun protection. No regrets with this purchase.
