Selected this paint by numbers kit while looking for something to reawaken my artsy side. I love a challenge, and this kit absolutely fits the bill. The canvas is good quality and the printing on in is dark enough to read but not so dark that it will show through the paint. Note that the print is very small. If you wear glasses to read then you will absolutely need them to complete this project. It is a nice touch that hanging hardware is included. I plan to stretch it over an inexpensive canvas to work on during cold and rainy days.

This is going to be a project for me to work on during the winter once holiday projects are out of the way, so my review is based on what I received, not the finished product. One thing that stands out is this arrives folded over quite a few times, so the canvas is going to need to be unfolded and left open with some heavy objects on it a few days before trying to work on it. The creases are fairly tight on it. The rest of it is fairly typical of these kits. You get the basic few brushes and pots of paint, and the paint does not look dried out. The canvas numbers are pretty boldly printed, so if someone is concerned about numbers bleeding through, this might not be the best one to try. I do these to relax and have fun with, so that will not be a problem for me either way, but the numbers are definitely heavily inked in. The sections are better for beginners to paint. There are some that are small, but there are also a lot that will be easier to paint due to being larger. I use my own tiny detail brushes for these kits, but the brushes with this one are the same you usually see and okay in quality. I would not have any issues with getting another kit from this brand as long as nothing happens while working on it to change my mind. The paint colors are fairly dark for the most part in this one except for the stream and sky.

Didn’t read that the canvas was not stretched on a frame. I live in a small, rural town with no stores nearby that can stretch it. My fault.

This paint by number set comes with the canvas, 3 different brushes, 24 paints, mounting hardware (no cable/frame though), instructions and 2 inch faded color preview of what the end product should look like. The way the canvas was packaged means it had to be folded, which means you’ll probably have to follow the directions on ironing it to get it to be nice and flat as there’s some significant creasing. The three brush types are of varying fineness. The numbers on the canvas are printed well but do get a little bit squashed on numbers 20 through 24. Still readable, but something to pay attention to. Interestingly, enough, the problem often exhibited with these kits with the paint drying out, has been handled extremely well in this kit. The paints came vacuum sealed in its own packaging with a date on it. This ensures the paints freshness, and that it doesn’t dry out and you don’t have to experiment with figuring out how to add the right amount of water to reconstitute it. As for that mounting hardware, I’m not sure why it’s included in the kit as mounting hardware will depend on the frame (not included) and not to the canvas so I guess use it if you can, if not, save it??

This horse paint by number is so beautiful it’s easy to use. The instructions are very clear after you were done painting it it looks like a professional has made this painting. I put mine in a frame and gave it to my granddaughter because she loves horses. The canvas is on is very nice quality, the colors are perfect for this painting. This is would make a great Christmas gift for anyone who is wanting to get into paintings or crafting. This is a great value.

I haven't painted-by-numbers in many years, but this kit made me want to jump back in! Large sturdy canvas (needs a little ironing before I start painting), brushes, paints... SO cute, and I can't wait to get started!!
