I've been a Butter Gloss fanatic forever, so I usually purchase this several times a year. Unfortunately, NYX has discontinued some of my all time favorite colors, so I've been forced to try and find alternatives in their current line up. One of the things that first drew me to Butter Gloss is that it was originally a pretty sheer formulation that offered a nice color payoff while still retaining a sheerness that prevented garishness. Some of the newer colors I've tried had way more opacity than I'm used to (and are more like the Intense Butter Gloss, if NYX still makes that?), so my search continues. However, I did come across this shade and while it's not quite what I usually go for, it's close enough to be a pinch hitter until NYX either comes out with a few colors closer to what I prefer, or someone else comes out with something comparable. What I love about Butter Gloss: It's lightweight. It never feels sticky. It has really nice staying power for a lip gloss. A lot of the colors are sheer washes of color, giving you nice color payoff without being overwhelming. It's so economical that you can keep one in every car and purse you own - and still not break the bank. It has a nicer formulation than far pricier options. It doesn't have a noticeable smell or taste (like, for instance, NYX Milky Gloss, which has both and not in a good way). If you haven't tried Butter Gloss before, find a shade you love and try it. I keep a stockpile in with my beauty products and usually do a bulk purchase when I find a color that I really like, because NYX discontinues colors and changes things up now and again. ... show more

I wanted a neutral lip gloss for both work and a night out. I have a medium beige, neutral skin tone and the color Madeleine worked perfectly as a nude lip color. It makes lips look plump, glossy but still classy and elegant enough for professional use. Would be a good balance to dramatic smokey eye makeup. I haven't worn it all day yet, so can't speak to how long it lasts. Also, I had to apply multiple coats to get enough color on, so I think I will be buying it frequently. Luckily, it's very cheap. I’m super happy with this product. I chronically have chapped lips due to allergy meds. No amount of hydration helps. I have a hard time finding lip color that doesn’t dry out my lips and turn into little bead chunks after chapstick use. This product lasts for hours and it moisturizes. Without lip liner it doesn’t bleed and looks odd. I’m shocked at the quality for the price. I would totally buy this again.     • Non-sticky lipgloss! How even??

I loooove this lipgloss. It is my new favorite. It is actually moisturizing and is not sticky. I don't know how they did it, but the texture is truly lovely. Not as moisturizing as a chapstick or lip balm, but certainly much more moisturizing than most lipglosses I have tried. The color is fairly sheer; I got it in Sugar High and it is just slightly more orange than my natural lips. Hardly noticeable but does make a difference. It has a soft shine to it, not overly shiny if that is a concern. Looks very natural. You do need to reapply, but it lasts a pretty long time. Would 100% buy again. ... show more

Hi, after buying this in the store and knowing the product color, consistency, smell and taste were good for me, I started buying them on Amazon. Recently, I bought three and one was really gritty but I can’t return it with the vendor so it’s a lost $5. They are cheap enough to try out. You’ll probably love it for the price as I do. I do not think the color looks like the site. Does not stay on too long. Not sure I will return it would cost that much in gas. Otherwise, I would return it. It is pretty sheer and shiny with a bit of color. I did not like the bit of color it had for me and it does not seem to last very long in my opinion. I just got this gloss in the mail and I’m in love with it. The shade is perfect and the gloss makes my lips look bigger. I paired it with the nyx lip pencil in the shade ever. Both are similar shade and a great everyday lip combo.
