I expected more of all-over body oil, and while this one smells amazing, it may be way too strong to use all over. It is more like a highly-scented perfume oil than a moderate or lightly-scented body oil. I am not an aficionado of dry oils, so maybe this is my first experience with them. I will use this one as a perfume - not so much for all-over or dry skin. The pros are it absorbs quickly, smells awesome and I can use it on my hair also. I use a lot of FHF body oils and they are not as highly scented as this one, so I can use them as an all-over oil after the bath or shower. Don't get me wrong, this scent smells wonderful, like gardenias and other floral notes, and I will likely use it as a perfume on my arms, neck, and decollete, but not everywhere for fear it would be too strong. So….I’ve been eyeing this product for… I want to say 2 years or so? I’m always hesitant to buy scented items without knowing what the smell is actually like. Anyway, I finally gave in and bought it (hoping to instantly transform into a “French cool girl”). I will say I like this product as an interesting/lighter alternative to an actual body lotion…mainly because my skin often becomes a bit of a slip and slide after putting on lotion (particularly in the summer months when I’m sweating at all times). This dry oil really is just that - a DRY oil. It moisturizes without leaving you greasy. It doesn’t however moisturize me as well as a milkier lotion does, which perhaps should have been expected. This works well for me now in the summer but when winter comes.. I might switch to something a tad more heavy duty (or might even mix this with a lotion for a little hybrid product). I have not used this on my face yet… I fear that putting scented items on my face will plague me with a breakout for the ages.. technically it says it CAN be used on the face though, and I lowkey trust the French more than anybody else to make something somehow both scented and friendly to sensitive skin…BUT I’ll conduct that experiment later. Now for the SMELL… man… so I was expecting something…I don’t know… floral…sweet… enigmatic in a cool French way… unfortunately when I opened the bottle and gave it a little spritz the first thing I thought was “elderly woman” - now that’s not a knock on elderly women..they are generally lovely people..and one day inevitably I too will become one…BUT I think we all know that kind of overly flowery but also powdery smell that somehow has become synonymous with women of a certain age…that’s what this smelled like straight out of the bottle. I thought maybe I was just paranoid and it was all in my head. I sprayed some in front of my boyfriend’s sister (who is slightly more young and hip than myself) and the first thing she said was “that kind of smells like old lady”. My boyfriend said “maybe a little bit old lady-ish but more like a fancy hotel to me”. He may have just been trying to be nice…the jury is still out on that one. I WILL SAY HOWEVER the smell CHANGES as I wear it. And apparently this is not just me acclimating to the smell. The bf’s sister agreed - much of the “old lady” smell faded almost to the point of being indistinguishable and instead a more pleasant smell of orange blossom came to the forefront after a few minutes of the product being on the skin. Personally I love the smell of orange blossom, so I was down with this shift. I’ve made many people smell my arm to test the smell shift theory and there appears to be a consensus - not great straight out of the bottle, but pretty nice and “sophisticated” smelling after it settles on the skin. A little tip I have learned thus far through my trial and error with this product is to try applying it to the skin when you’re straight out of the shower - that way it can spread more easily by mixing with any water drops already on the skin. When my skin is completely dry it’s a little harder for me to distribute the product evenly. All in all, while this product didn’t necessarily meet the lofty expectations I had for it, it still, in a small way, makes me feel a little cooler, wealthier, and generally more sophisticated than I really am whenever I use it…and for a relatively painless price…so I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. ... show more

This smells kind of like an old lady but it's very moisturizing. This seller is great too it wasn't delivered so I reached out and they sent me a new one ASAP. I recommend this oil just be careful if you're sensitive to scents I'm not sure it will be universally liked. I'm interested in trying the pink version to see if I like that scent any better. ... show more

The scent is wonderful! It smells clean & feminine but not at all overwhelming. The oil itself is a wonder. Absorbs instantly for silky skin & no greasy residue. I tried it on the dry ends of my hair & it really helped the feel & appearance without weighing down my hair.

I am a huge fragrance lover. I love all things that smell nice, in literally every part of my life. My home, my car, my clothes and my skin and hair are no exception. With that, I have extremely sensitive skin. So, I have to be extra careful when choosing personal fragrance such as oil, lotion and perfume. NUEX is the perfect oil! The scent is amazing but not overwhelming, it makes your skin glowing, soft and smooth and the scent will last all day. I also love that it doesn’t cause any irritation to my skin. I personally use it on my body after I apply non scented lotion. Then apply my perfume. On more than one occasion, I have been stopped and asked what I’m wearing. I also put a small spray on my hand and run it through my hair. It will not make your hair oily and will keep your hair smelling amazing. Since I use it daily, I do wish the bottles came in a larger size but this size of bottle will last me about a month with daily use. If you love soft skin and smelling beautiful, I would purchase this ASAP! ... show more

I bought this after seeing someone recommend it on Tiktok. It has been amazing for me, who struggles with split ends. I spray 3 times onto my palm and apply it after I shower (on wet hair). When it dries it looks really hydrated. I also use 1 spray on my ends when my hair is dry. HIGHLY recommend!
