How we got our start? Evviva Sciences started a few years ago in a small garage. At that time, I had some basic equipment, and I poured petri dishes myself by hand daily. We have been growing every year, thanks to your great support! We now have an excellent laboratory and team! I ordered the green agar plates for a science project cleaning comparison. They arrived in half of the time promised, five days total. Everything was well packaged, no broken plates, or contaminated agar. I followed the instructions and refrigerated the plates until use, then kept them at 70-80 degrees after swabbing. We had bacteria growth within 24 hours on the swabs before cleaning and zero growth on the after cleaning plates, see pictures. I didn't think that 10 seconds of Lysol would actually work this well! ... show more

I was super concerned I would get dishes that are already growing bacteria, but I didn't. They were all fine. I have a spinal injury and can't prepare agar myself very well, if at all, so these are a good alternative. I will be buying again if I need more. The kit came with a card that explained why some might be contaminated. I do think they should explain in the description that that can happen and why it does. That way people don't buy it when they have a time crunch and need all 10 to be clean. I gave 4 stars because I didn't see that explanation in the description. ... show more

I experienced no contamination and these plates ran circles around some others that I purchased on Amazon. Using the same samples, under the same conditions, on every comparison, these plates produced thick, healthy growth while the others were very sparse, feathery and weak looking. When compared, they looked like completely different samples but were exactly the same. These plates made my growth look like exactly like the online videos from the pros! The only drawback is that they are not individually sealed. They come sealed as a group of 2 and 3 plates per group. When a group is opened, any unused plates should be sealed with tape to maintain sterility. Its an easy process and in my opinion is well worth the results. I ordered these for my online Microbiology class. All of them but one were fine. One of the lids were in pieces and broken. I unfortunately can’t go through the return process because I need them for my class. Very disappointed.

Had a lot of growth after our swabs as well, so these Petri dishes are definitely a good product to use. The agar plates were shipped with care and the packaging held up well. Some of the plates I received in one box were contaminated, so I contacted the customer service email on the product. They responded immediately and informed me that they would be sending me replacement plates. Margaret provided great customer service and was very quick with her responses to my emails.
