Description

NUK Smooth Flow Bottles are the anti-colic solution for bottle feeding, featuring a unique nipple design that allows baby to control the flow rate for colic-free feeding. This Smooth Flow nipple adjusts the flow based on how your baby drinks, adapting to their suction strength to ensure they will always have the right flow rate. The SafeTemp temperature indicator lets you know when milk is too hot with just a glance. The blue thermometer indicator fades when milk is too hot and reappears when milk has cooled and is safe to drink.

I purchased these for my grandson. He loves Mickey Mouse. Needless to say he was very happy! The quality of this brand is great.

  • Perfect
Bottles are great for supplementing breast feeding, as far as bottles go that I have tried anyway.. and I love that they say rose and are pink!

  • they're good bottles but you have to understand how feeding works
Style: 5 Ounce (3 Pack) Color: Gray Zebra Size: 5 Ounce, 3 Pack
I see a lot of these reviews and think that people are perhaps misunderstanding how breastfeeding and bottle-feeding vary among infants. Every baby is different, every mouth is different, every breast is different, and every latch is unique. A bottle that works for my baby may not work for yours, but that doesn't mean the bottle is bad. You may have to try a few before finding the right one. I like this bottle for us. My baby is a pretty easy feeder and has good suction. We wanted bottles that would let him feed slowly. These work well for that. They've helped us minimize spit up. For us, these worked better than the Tommee Tippee or Avent or Dr. Brown. Definitely make sure you get the right size nipple, though! If you want some advice from my genius lactation doctor... One of the best things you can do with bottle feeding is just go slow. Really slow. Breastfeeding is not an instant or fast process for babies. It takes a minute for milk to let down, the flow changes throughout the feed, there are starts and stops in the process, etc. If you're testing out a new bottle, try to imitate that process. Give the baby the bottle, but don't immediately let the milk flow to the nipple. Take breaks if your baby allows it, and if not, incline them a bit so they're not getting a full flow. Do some gentle burps. Maybe change their diaper in the middle of the feed rather than right before. If you do that, you'll get a good idea of how well the bottle is working AND, bonus, when you breastfeed, you'll have a baby accustomed to a normal pace so they won't get frustrated at how slow the process is! ... show more

  • Best bottles for formula fed baby
Style: 5 Ounce (3 Pack) Color: Gray Elephant Size: 5 Ounce (3 Pack)
My baby is formula fed and deals with a lot of gas pains so a good bottle is a must for her. We have tried almost all brands out there with her and the Nuk bottles have worked the best. They are really easy to clean, dry, and assemble back together because they only have 4 parts (cap, nipple, rim, bottle). It is a light weight bottle so holding on to it while baby feeds is convenient. Also, out of all the bottles we have tried, the nipple on the Nuk bottles have worked the best. Not only does my baby properly latch without spilling but it keeps her from eating too fast. The nipple also has a small hole were trapped air can escape which is great for gassy babies to not take in as much air between feedings. In addition, the bottle itself has a blue temperature line that turn white when the milk or bottle is too hot and does a great job at indicating when the temperature is ok for baby by turning blue again when it’s a safe level. The Nuk bottles have worked so well for use that we have bought a total of 5 sets and only have to wash them once a day or two depending on how much baby girl eats any given day (we feed on demand). Definitely recommend based on quality and value! ... show more

  • NOT FOR NEWBORNS!!!!
Style: 5 Ounce (3 Pack) Color: Gray Elephant Size: 5 Ounce (3 Pack)
I really loved this bottle. My baby liked the bottle and took to it right away. I liked that he took to it and it didn’t have a lot of parts to clean. It was one of the few bottles that I saw the bubbles of air flow through the bottle as my newborn baby (6 weeks old) feeds. I was so excited to use them and was considering ordering more until I noticed my baby was chugging the bottles so fast and ended up having such horrible belly pain from the extra air he was taking in and choking from the flow of the milk. He may be really small but he sucks hard when he’s hungry. The nipple flow shows size 1 but the hole is just way too big for a baby his size. I wish they had a size 0 nipple and a slower flowing nipple and I would give this 5 stars. Simply because of the nipple flow and my screaming baby I cannot give it 5 stars. This probably would be a great bottle for a baby whose a little older but not acceptable for a newborn baby. If your baby is a few months old and can handle the flow, I’d say go for it all day! But If you’re purchasing for a newborn, I’d say to look into the avent bottles. MAM bottles even and hold off on these until baby is older. I don’t usually write reviews but I feel that my review can help another mother avoid making my mistake and having to hear their baby cry in pain like mine is. I’m not throwing the bottles out but I am not going to use them until he’s a little older. I still really like the bottles. I just wish the flow was slower ... show more

  • Perfect for Breastfed Baby Who Won’t Take Any Other Bottle
Style: 5 Ounce (3 Pack) Color: Pink Tulips Size: 3 Count (Pack of 1)
I’m heading back to work full time soon, and starting getting a little panicky that my 4 month old EBF baby with tongue and lip ties wouldn’t take a bottle. I had been trying for weeks to get her to take one (tried 4 other brands-comotomo, Kiinde, Dr browns, and Avent ) but she outright refused to suck, and when she did, she’d swallow a lot of air and get fussy. Enter Nuk! The nipple is shaped oddly, but I guess is like the shape of a human nipple in the babies’ mouth. It also doesn’t release milk unless the baby is actively sucking, much like nature. She took to it instantly, no swallowing air, and drank a full bottle for the first time ever! What a weight off my shoulders. Additional bonus is how few parts there are, making them easy to clean. I’m buying a few packs of these because these are all we’ll be using! ... show more

  • Product seemed used.
Style: 5 Ounce (3 Pack) Color: Gray Zebra Size: 5 Ounce, 3 Pack
Upon opening the package and inspecting the bottles, I noticed light scratches on the bottle already. I was very hesitant to use it but the box did say "New" on the label. I made sure to give it a good wash and sanitized in hot boiling water before using. The plastic part that holds the nipple in feels cheaply made and cant get a good grip on it when trying to open and close the bottle. I'm not sure if it's smooth controlled flow, I tried the first bottle with my son and it came way too fast which I thought he was probably just got to get use to it. Second bottle same thing, flow came too fast, I squeezed the top of the bottle nipple of the Y shape and milk came pouring out. Not sure if we will use it again since he is only 4 months. We will have to wait until he is older and can drink at a faster flow to use it. ... show more
