    • These are amplifiers, not aids
The Amazon product info was careful to say that these were not amplifiers. When I received the product, they were careful to say that they were amplifiers. Amazon’s info also said they were noise cancelling, which they weren’t. When I bought these, I was pretty sure they were amplifiers so I wasn’t surprised when I saw the actual product info. Nor was I surprised to see that they weren’t noise cancelling. They don’t cost enough to support those claims. I even saw something about them being compatible with my cell phone! Anyway, that was all OK because I wanted to see if I could get by with amplifiers. I realized that I couldn’t. The amplification worked well and the earpieces were comfortable enough but all the noises that were also amplified were distracting and I couldn’t hear any better because of them. In fact, some of the frequencies actually caused pain to my hearing. I thought I could get used to some of the distractions and benefit from the amplifiers but the painful noises were too much for me. That’s why I’m returning them. ... show more
