I go hiking 2x a week for about 4 miles each. The heel provides a lot of bounce to your step which is great because I hike a lot on dirt paths. My last boots were more flat-footed and my knee was getting impact shock with every step, but not with these. The bounce helps cushion each step so that my knees are not taking a beating. The toe box is a bit tight at first and you might need to size up because of it, but I adjust to it just fine within a minute of wearing these. The laces are a bit thin but have some stretch in them to get a secure fit, I'm sure this is the trade-off but I'm going to try replacing them eventually. The top two rows of eyelets are the quicklace clasps and seem very sturdy, other boots seem to cheap out here and they snap off. I have not tested the waterproofing but according to other reviews they handle well. My boot shipped with a defect where I have an obvious fold in the tongue of the boot, I didn't care enough about it to send it back because of this. Overall, great boot and it compared really well to a big name brand boot I was considering going with instead, glad I chose the Notiv-8. Time will tell how well these hold up but I suspect they'll handle well.

I was quite skeptical these would be high quality with the low price tag. My previous hiking boots were 20 dollars more and fell apart in a year of light hiking. These boots are in another level. Comfort wise I feel like I could wear them all day no problem. Paired with a decent winter sock and they are nice and cozy. They certainly have their own style. They make me feel invincible on the frail. These handle snow, water, mud, rocks, you name it! The treads are very deep and give excellent traction. I ordered a half size up and it turned out to be the right call. The toe box is a bit tight but a half size up and you're good. The craftsmanship seems very high on these. My shoes are always wearing out in one specific spot but these won't have that issue. I feel like I hit the jackpot with these! The only question now is how will they hold up long term. Time will tell but so far I think they're built to last.

These are ver nice looking mid boots they say to order a 1/2 size higher but in doing so now I’m having knee pain from the lack of arch support in a boot that just a lil to big so order to size. I’m wearing them for work shoes because they are a lil water resistant but not so much on the slip resistant maybe for hiking over dry dirt but wet floors not so much. For look and price I give 3 stars but when I got them the Tongue was not sewn very well and the foam could be seen and the right side was sewn to tight making a wierd crease so craftsmanship is not really there. So it’s been a week with them using everyday for work is not very wise unless you like leg pain from the Lack of support the inserts are very delicate and flimsy But gunna add some arch support inserts and hope that helps. And the souls are glued on so don’t know how long that will last till they start coming undone I give them a few months fingers crossed

Bought these for a hiking trip to the Lost City in Colombia. Did two 10 mile hikes to break in and then 45 miles through the jungle. Great boot. Waterproof, comfortable, excellent traction. Cleaned up like new. Ordered 1/2 size up. The last has a narrow width to length ratio., so size up. 1/2. Also, the Wide Polar Paw heel catches on rocks occasionally on trail so keep that in mind. Happened maybe three times during the 45 mile hike. Pleased with my purchase. Worth the money easily.
