  • Great Price for Functionality of a Waterproof Boot
Size: 14 Color: Black-2m
Quick Summary: This boot was very surprising at how functional it was for the price. Slips on and off easily. Overall fits well for a waterproof/winter boot. Matched my need perfectly. Pros: • The price is great for how functional the boot is • Easy slip on and off, even for large size (size 14) • Thinsulate liner is comfortable and warm • Boot construction seems like it will be waterproof even in deep snow or puddles of water • Size comes a little oversized which helps for thick/layered socks Cons: • Very heavy/clunky • Not the best looking/most fashionable boot out there • Oversizing might be an issue if not using thick/layered socks Specific Ratings: • Price: 5/5 • Functionality: 4/5 • Looks 3/5 • Fit 4/5 Full Summary: I am very impressed with this boot, especially given the price I paid ($46.99 US). I was looking for a boot I could slip on and off easily to take my dog out in the rain or snow. I looked at many boots online, including fashionable ones, but found myself leaning towards a truly functional waterproof boot regardless of looks. The first time I wore the boots, I was very impressed that I could slip on a calf height boot with my size (14 US). I have had boots in the past and almost all I had to unlace virtually to the toe in order to get them on, especially if I had thick socks on. That is no problem with this boot. I never even touched the laces when I slipped them on. At first, I noticed how comfortable and warm they felt with the Thinsulate lining. It was 30 degrees and raining and I just had on a pair of thin nylon dress socks from work. I walked out side and my feet never came close to being cold or wet. The next thing I noticed, as I was walking in them, is how heavy and clunky they are. I actually had to adjust my gate to walk in them – imagine walking in those Japanese sandles where youd have to pick up your leg and intentionally take a step. It was odd, but this adjustment was mainly because they were so heavy and were a bit-oversized, so they slipped up and down my foot/leg while I walked. Overall, I am ok with that though because the oversizing will come in handy when I layer up for winter or maybe use hot packs on my feet at a football game (I will update on that when I try it later). I do believe if you lace them up tightly this slipping issue wont be much of an issue – again, I am using them mainly to take my dog out, so slipping off and on easily is fantastic. They are extremely durable – my St Bernard puppy who is going crazy and chewing/tearing up everything we own right now tried to chew on the bottom of these and did absolutely zero damage to them – and I felt nothing too. It was funny watching him try and me just stand there and not say anything – he was disappointed he couldn’t make me react. HAHA. The only real downfall I might give to these, although its not a huge issue for me given what I mainly use them for, is that they aren’t very pretty. They look as big and clunky as they feel. They definitely aren’t like the ladies Hunter fashion rain boots or any other fashionable waterproof boots. They built these for functionality and I’m fine with that. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone looking for true waterproof functionality. ... show more

  • Boots arrived as advertise. Shipment was early.
Size: 11 Color: Black
Goal was for a low-price snow boot that was easy on and off. Since it was for snow, I did not care about leather or style. i wanted something that would come up about a foot on my leg to keep the snow out when plowing my driveway. Something warm but not fancy, again low price. It had to have good traction which it appears it will, no snow yet. Lastly, it had to go on and off easily because of my age-related disabilities and high arches. They slipped right on and off. They felt really warm and snuggly but a little too roomy for snow and ice. Then I tighten the easy to apply Velcro strap and they were perfect. I am not sure how they will be in a year but at $40 US dollars, I am very happy. If they wear out in a year, I will buy another pair. Two comments: If you want liners that pull out, these don't but I don't care and with the draw string at the top, I am okay with them. ... show more

  • Runs small.
Size: 8 Color: Mt01-black
I had to return a pair and get larger. The mens size 8 was closer to a woman's size 8. Other than that, they were nice enough boots that I ordered 2 sizes larger-I could probably have gotten away with one size larger if I wore them bare foot, but needed space for socks.

  • They are boots
Size: 14 Color: Mt01-black
They are boots. They are black. They kept me warm during whatever I did in them. Shoestrings on them are rather long but I just kept my killed game from the day on them like a tundra-bound stringer.

  • Failed after a little over a year of light use
Size: 15 Color: Black
Bought these boots Jan. 2023 for wear during the remainder of the rainy season in Northern California. They were worn when rain filled our park trails with too much water for wearing usual walking shoes. Though heavy and cumbersome, they at least kept feet dry. When the rains finished in May, we stored them on the wet gear shelf in the garage for the remainder of the year until winter 2024, and wore them again briefly until put in dry storage again. Just pulled them out for this year's rain and on first wearing, both feet soaked. Close inspection revealed several bubbles in the boot material on both shoes, which had split open allowing water to pour into both shoes. This means that after a little more than a year and a half of light use and careful storage, these boots have failed. Buyer beware and avoid these boots. ... show more
