  • Reliable, comfortable (with insoles), very good price
Size: 12 Color: Black
I walk as a letter carrier,(mailman) and I have shopped around for shoes/boots for my job for awhile but two years ago I tried these and I havent tried anything else since. Good for ankle support ( mine are shot) ,great for comfortable walk with flat feet ( I'm like Fred Flintstone), and there made of breathable yet sturdy material. ... show more

  • You'll Need HD Laces
Size: 11 Color: Black
I absolutely love these boots!! I've bought 3 different styles and will stay with this brand. I have 2 pair for home winters, and a pair I keep at work for daily use. An excellent product for the price. Why 4 stars instead of 5 is because the laces had to be replaced on all three pair within the first dozen uses. I highly recommend the boots, but search amazon for heavy duty laces to purchase with them. ... show more

  • Really nice boot so far! (Slightly clunky)
Size: 12 Color: Black
The boot is great. I usually wear size 11.5 or 12. I got a 12. Fits great but the boot is pretty wide and clunky. Kinda heavy. Otherwise they look great and have been breaking in nicely. Also, it’s kinda tough to draw the laces in very tight, the boot is stiff down in the top of foot area.

  • Felt rigid at first I was suspicious, but they ended up being a great boot
Size: 11 Color: Black
When I first tried them on, I noticed the laces were kind of cheap, And the boot felt kind of rigid but I put some thick socks on and they end up being a fine boot. I like them. before getting these, I had returned a pair of expensive high top boots - Oh my God I don’t know what kind of material they use. Those were comfortable at first but my feet sweat like a sweat hog. I don’t have that problem with these I couldn’t believe the deal I got on them I’m definitely gonna buy more. I like to rotate my boots so having three pairs won’t break the bank and rotating your shoes or boots allows time for the boot to dry out and not build up odor. ... show more

  • Appears to be a good, basic hiking/work boot
After a disappointing experience with a pair of LOWA hiking boots (the seams split open on both sides of the forefoot in the same locations on both boots plus the rubber sole separated on one side after working on a project that involved a lot of kneeling), I figured why pay a lot of money for a pair of boots that are shot before the laces break and the tread wears thin. So I decided to get a cheap pair like these NortiV8 Rockfor boots. They are made in China like most things these days. These boots looks identical to another popular shoe brand I found in the Amazon website for about half the price. So why not try it? I ordered the same size as my previous LOWA boots (9.5 USA) and found these boots to be a bit larger inside, especially in the forefoot area. I can deal with the slightly loose fit (just wear thicker socks). I find this much better than coping with boots that are too small although I wouldn't want to try a 10-mile hike with these loose fitting boots. I can deal with the loose fit issue and don't plan to send them back over my error in ordering boot size. Besides, the size 9 might be too tight a fit. I have only worn the boots for two days and already they are feeling better. I did notice that the sole of the boot feels thinner than previous similar boots and I can feels stone impressions more. Again, for this price, I expect less.. I will use these boots for daily yard work and walking my dog several miles a day on asphalt and gravel roads. Now if they will only last longer than my last pair of boots. ... show more

  • Not comfortable, Very Hot
Size: 11 Color: Brown
Bought these for my 14yr old son to use at Scout camp during the summer. Lots of hiking we averaged 9 miles a day, some days up to 16 miles. Hiked through Mud, and rain that made about 1in deep puddles on day 1. These boots are not waterproof at all. His feet were soaked, and he developed blisters. The back of the boots rubbed his heel raw, and the tow area rubbed the top of his foot like if they were steel toed boots. He refused to wear these boots the rest of the trip and said his sneakers worked better at keeping the water out. Yes, he did break them in before the trip, The water was not deep well under the 3in the boot is rated for, his feet were sweaty but we could pour the water out of these boots. They were appropriately sized for his feet as well. -update- I'm very impressed with the customer service! These guys went out of their way to contact me and resolve the issues we experienced with these boots. We were able to work out a solution, and I would be willing to give NORTIV boots another try in the future. It's obvious that they care about their product and customers. I wish I would have contacted them sooner I have updated this review to reflect their commitment to service. ... show more

  • 195 miles hiking - Results
UPDATE: August 17, 2022. 195 miles. These are the best low cost boots I have yet purchased from Amazon. Still fully together with no seprations anywhere. Comfortable. Tread is getting pretty flat so the traction is waning but I am definitely going to get another pair of these. Had to replace the laces. That's it. Boots first worn November 11, 2021 These boots have been great so far. At 90 miles, no ripped seams and the tread is not separating from the upper as is the case with so many of the low-price boots that I order. I am very hard on boots and they, generally, start showing signs of falling apart at the 100 mile mark but the tread and uppers on these remain fully intact. Usually, I review at 150 miles / 6 months, so this review is coming a bit earlier than usual. The 9.5 size fits perfectly what I usually wear (Amazon took back another brand that was supposedly 9.5 but fit like 8.5). No "blue toes" and shock absorbancy is decent. More importantly, traction has been excellent. Very steep, slippery trails with all sorts of critters. Only now, after 90 miles, starting to slide a bit on steep grades. I've purchased about a dozen hiking boots from Amazon over the past 10 years and these rank in the top two. I would definitely buy them again. ... show more
