I wore them all summer and they felt like I was walking on a cloud compared to other brands. I spent four months wearing them every day walking on tough terrain and sand. They held up well and retained their comfort. I am now using them in colder and winter weather. They are still comfortable and warm. They shed water (rain-snow) very well. It's been at least seven months and they look and feel great. I use black shoe polish which makes them look new again. The only con is that they probably don't breathe as well as they could, but I have no issues with that. Great investment

With seeing how a lot of the hiking shoes that were a lot more might not hold up I gave these a try. Fit well and have held up for about 9 months of taking care of farm animals, hiking, a kayak trip down some rapids, and everyday use. I have had more wear showing than I'd like but I am keeping in mind it's a lower price too. I might have to glue the sole in the next month or so, but still seem like they will hold up. The top lacing hooks broke on one shoe and some of the light decor on the outside of the show came off but hasn't really bothered me.

I bought these for my husband he is a plumber and has been trying for years to find the right boot. He has really bad feet issues. He is so amazed on how comfortable these boots were. They even started helping his achy feet. His birthday is coming up in April I’m going to buy another pair he loves them.

After doing a lot of online research looking at many different boots I was delighted to select these boots for purchase. When they arrived I was very impressed with all the upper parts on them --- they looked like they would last a long time and be impervious to the elements. But sadly I had to return them because the sole is so solid, which is a good thing, but not for me. I have been wearing a different brand of boots for the past 10 years on which the soles have always been flexible and bendy enough to allow me to get a good grip on my local Nevada desert trails which are often rocky, dusty, at times slippery from accumulated gravel, and require flexibility in my feet to stay upright and not slip over. And those flexible soles are still intact after 10 years of regular trail walking, but it's the uppers on those old boots that have started to come apart. To be honest, when I tried these new boots on I felt a bit like Frankenstein clomping along with leaden feet. They are so well made that the soles probably wouldn't soften up much over time (but I could be wrong about that.) So, the 4 stars I gave these boots are missing one star because I don't like the stiffness of the soles, but apart from that they really deserve 5 stars. As I mentioned, they are really well made and look great so I'm sure they'd be perfect for everyone else, those walking on more normal hiking trails than I do.
