These sandals from Nortiv 8 fit me very well and are great for warm weather hiking where a sandal like this is appropriate. I must admit that I am a very easy to fit shoe person and most shoes just work for me, if you are difficult to fit these may not be perfect for you. There is a deal adjustment strap which allows for tightening up the fit slightly and helps to avoid the rubbing of the heel as you walk. My normal shoe size is 11.5 and I selected 11 which I would say is just right, not too snug not loose. The outsole has a rugged pattern which is great for more rough terrain, and I have not felt any slipping because of it. I like the bungee laces as it allows you to just slip them on and in one quick motion set them to just the right amount of hold. The venting on the sides is not enormous, which is good for keeping the dirt and stones out but has enough opening to allow for the feet to breathe in these sandals. ... show more

    • Unimpressive, no real adjustments possible, cheaply-made replaceable insole.

These fit my Size 13 boats very well. However, according to some other reviews, they ran too big. Fit out of the box is immensely important because there are no adjustments except for a minimal-effect heal strap that could only muster a very small improvement in fit. These will either fit you or not, no matter if you need a half-size down. Definite plastic/petroleum-like odor that I hope with dissipate with time. The insole is non-supportive and thin, so you'll want to replace that immediately. Suitable for occasional light day hikes, but I would not trust them for multi-day and/or aggressive hill climbing. Bear Grylls would not be impressed, and REI is not worried. They do deliver on the lightweight promise, but durability may be an issue compared to a better, well-fitted product from a major manufacturer. At $36, you're getting what you're paying for. Maybe less. My rating system: 5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park. A great value! 4 Stars = Excellent product. A solid buy. 3 Stars = It provides some value, but perhaps not as advertised. 2 Stars = A little dubious, so do your research. Read the critical reviews! 1 Star = Avoid this product and look elsewhere. ... show more

These shoes are nice and lightweight, breathable, and fit well, I'm a size 13 and it's a perfect fit. They're easy to put on and take off. They are fairly comfortable, especially for around the house. The soles are a rubber material and wrap around the sides and look as if though they'll stay pretty well in tact with minimal spots for it to peel away as some soles do. The elastic zipcord "laces" work well and the push lock tightening method is easy. These shoes would be a good option for people with mobility or flexibility issues since they're pretty easy to slip on and tighten up. The insoles are just a thin piece of foam material that has a bit of cushion but will compress and wear out quick. If you plan to walk or hike a lot in these, replacement insoles will go a long way. I plan to change them out for something with more arch support and cushion. Even if the photos show people wearing these without, I highly suggest wearing socks with these. They're breathable, but not breathable enough for sock-free use in my opinion. They're more sneaker than sandal. Overall they're perfectly fine shoes for wearing around the house or on leisurely summer walks. ... show more

These sandals are great for hiking or going to the beach or the lake. They are also waterproof and have great traction on the soles to keep you going when on the trail. I like the look of them and they seem pretty durable so they should hold up for several years. I am really happy with them and think you will also enjoy them. ... show more
