Upside: You can't beat the low price for five sets of reading glasses. Plus, they come packed with soft cases and a cleaning cloth, a nice touch at this price point. Downside: The lenses are plastic, of course, not a surprise for the low cost. But, I've never seen lenses that smudge so easily no matter how careful you are with them. You'll be using that cleaning cloth every day. Also, there's a design flaw on the lower portion of the frames. The plastic is so thin that it eventually snaps and the lenses fall out. This has happened multiple times to me, and while I suppose you could try to glue the frame back together, it would be tricky given the thin and small amount of plastic involved. Frankly, it's easier to think of these glasses as disposable, considering the price and to just grab another pair. Bottom line: Even with the flaws I recommend these spectacles. I've purchased them multiple times. Just don't expect a pair to last more than a few months each. Oh. And the hinges have springs in them to assure a tight fit. A nice feature.

So, I hate the fact that I have to wear readers at my age. But I hate event more, that I lose my readers way too often. For years, I've been buying multi-packs of discount glasses at local pharmacy's and department store. Within only a few weeks, the screws fall out and the frames fall apart. I'm telling you, these glasses are solidly made. I love the way they fit and I will buy them again when I lose all of them. Oh, and did I mention I got TWICE as many pairs of glasses here than I get locally, so I'll be replacing them less often. I highly recommend.

I just got this 5 pack of readers, mixed color #2, with soft sleeve cases a couple of days ago for $15. I ordered these for computer use in a +0.75 which is not available everywhere. They seem to be true to the maginification and sturdy, much better than the dollar stores. The storage sleeves are nice, but a little tight, not sure if they will stretch out over time, but they were free and I wasn't expecting this bonus so whatever, and I probably won't use them. The arms are spring loaded which is a huge plus. They are a bit snug on my head and get uncomfortable after a while, and I do not have a giant cranium so YMMV. We will see how long they last, but at $3 each I don't think I'll be disappointed no matter what.

These glasses are great! They have the hinged brackets. Different than other hinges I've seen. Not sure if it's metal or what. 5 pairs. Cases and a cleaning cloth. I'll see how well they hold up. But, great for now! I will buy again.
