I've been using scavenged reading glasses, most of which now have only one arm. My used glasses would either break at the plastic hinge or where the previous owner had bitten the plastic arms. So these glasses are a welcome addition: - affordable - metal hinge - spring loaded hinge - to take any pressure off which should further reduce possible breakage - metal arms which: - are not likely to break - can be gently bent on the pair or two I received which sat a little loose AND they included a soft case to alleviate scratches, for each of the 6 pairs. (I have one scavenged pair of glasses with a metal frame that has 2 pairs of arms, but is so scratched I can't use it). All in all, I expect these to serve well. They are a little creaky (presumably the glue holding the plastic lenses into the frames), so perhaps more expensive options might last longer. But will more expensive pairs last 2, 3 or 4 times as long? Possibly - if you plan to toss them around and stuff them in bags with other stuff. But for me, these will sit on the desks where I need them, so I think these are the better bargain. At any rate, it is just really nice to have glasses with two arms now that don't fall off when I look down. :) ... show more

The older I get, the more my reliance on daily readers has increased to a point where I need them on me at all times. That means I'm constantly breaking and losing them...which is quite annoying. That is why I love these little bulk packs of readers. From one order, I can restock my house, office, car, etc as needed. As for the glasses themselves, they work perfectly. I am not a huge fan of the frames, and I have my doubts they will last for long. But for now, these are great glasses that get the job done. ... show more

This set comes with 6 pairs of glasses, 6 soft foam cases, and one cleaning cloth. The glasses are as advertised … light weight , blue light blocking, with spring hinges. The glasses themselves have a light and thin metal frame. I suspect these will not be too durable. The nose pads are comfortable but also thin. The lenses do seem to be blue light blocking. When I look at my tablet screen there is a noticeable color shift when using or not using these glasses. This is similar to other blue light glasses I have. The spring hinges are ok … some are strong and close with a snap others are weaker and barely spring closed like you would expect from this type of hinge. The cases are cheap, but better than nothing. It might seem like I have a lot of complaints about these glasses but this is a bit of “you get what you pay for”. For the current price of about $17 for 6 pairs I would argue you are getting more than you paid for. I have a very similar pair (but slightly nicer) from a major US dept store that cost about $12 for one pair. Overall, these are decent glasses at a VERY reasonable price ... making them a really good value I am very happy with these. ... show more

Having reading glasses around the house in various places has become a necessity in my life recently. I like to keep them on my night stand, on the end table in the living room, at my office desk, etc. So, this value pack of six pairs of glasses is going to be pretty convenient to put several around the house and have some spares as backup. The frames are fairly stylish but simple. The nose pads are adjustable, too, so it’s pretty easy to find a good fit. The bows have spring hinges, which makes these more comfortable to wear. I did find the bows to be pretty loose, so some adjustments may need to be done. As far as the blue light blocking capabilities go, they seem to do well in that area. I have a blue light lamp and testing card from another set of glasses I had ordered, and when I tested these lenses, they seemed to perform about the same. Concerning the diopter strength, it seemed accurate to me. For a pack of six pairs of glasses, I think this is a pretty decent value. ... show more

Set of 6 readers. Spring hinges, although I fear they may not hold up in the long term. Listed as men's readers, but the style can be unisex. Subtle, non-descript colors. If you're looking for a set of readers so you always have a pair wherever you may need them: the kitchen, the bedroom, the laundry room, your purse, this set is a very economical choice! A few pairs do not sit perfectly even on the face, but they are lightweight enough to be comfortable if you're just using them to read your phone, tablet or book. The undamaged box of glasses was mostly good except for the one pair that had broken at the piece over the nose. The lenses are clear and they fit well. They come with nicely padded cases and cleaning cloths. I don’t know if the other glasses will fail in the same spot, but they appear to be strong. I’m afraid this weld just didn’t hold. Still good price for 5 pairs! ... show more

We’ve been buying readers from the five quarter store for a number of years. The nature of my husband’s work leads to damaged eyewear, so we are not willing to spend too much on each pair. The blue light blocking is not important to him, but he did test them and they seem to work. What I like: These are made just as well as his prescription readers from the optometrist's office. The metal is sturdy and the hinges on all 6 pair were strong. No issues with the fit. Each pair came with a fabric protector for carrying the glasses in a pocket. It is not as strong as a hard sided eyeglass case, but much more convenient for carrying in a shirt pocket. The magnification matched his cheaper ones and his pair of prescription readers. What could be better? In addition to offering the range of magnification, I would like to be able to choose the finish. Our pack came with 2 black frames, 1 gunmetal grey frame, 2 gold frames, and 1 silver frame. A multi-color pack is a nice option. But, it would be nice to order either a mix or 6 of a single color. At this price point (currently approximately $2/pair), I recommend them. ... show more
