I used it on the cloth upholstery of my classic automobile that had four slight tears due to wear. Following the instructions, I added the powder, closed the gap between the fabric, placed the wax paper over the powder and applied the Teflon heat device for 30+ seconds to each area. I waited the appropriate 4 minutes before removing the wax paper which was the only issue I had. The powder worked well and the tears were sealed and repaired. The issue is that a good portion of the wax paper stuck to the sealed powder which was not a deal breaker and could have resulted from my leaving the heat on too long. I'm confident that through wear, the wax paper will eventually come off. All I can say is that I was greatly pleased with the results. ... show more

I tried to use the product to hem some curtains and to fix a bra strap that had unfolded. I was first disappointed because when I opened the box there was only one bottle of hem, mend, fix not the two that were clearly described. Then when I went to use it the iron heated up a bit but not strong enough for the fix to work more than a couple hours. I read the directions for a third time and tried again still to no avail. It works on the curtains as long as my cats don't touch it, but anytime I try to wash the bra it falls apart. Definitely not what I expected. I shortened my Dining Room curtains over a radiator cover. It was easy but I didn't cut them short enough the first time. (Measure twice, cut once..something, something). And add the hem length to your measurements. I only needed to take them off the rod, reheat with the wand, adjust and reheat them with the wand to rehang them correctly above the radiator cover. I used newspaper underneath the curtains while heating them. Towels probably would have worked as well. Toss the paper in the trash as it'll be dusty. Just vac up the dust afterwards. I had a deep black burn in my car seat and this product worked great filling the hole. You have to match up fabric to fill color (I used various carpet fibers in assorted tones to fill hole and best match fabric interior).
