Runs bigger than expected so maybe size down one size. The shirt has a thinner material than the shorts so maybe place an undershirt with it but it looks exactly as pictured as far as design and color overall not a bad outfit and I will purchase in a smaller size as it appears comfy and easy to put on and go! ... show more

We're getting to that stage where my toddler has strong opinions on a lot of things, including what to wear. However, when I showed this outfit to him and mentioned that it was Mario brothers, he instantly wanted to wear it (side note, even though I grew up with video games, I have not introduced them to him yet, so I believe he learned about some of these characters at his daycare). Anyway, we got the 4T size, even though my boy typically wears 3T, and it came out a little large (but again, that was expected). I don't mind though, because it allows for room to grow, and it is not egregiously baggy, so he can still enjoy wearing them now. Anyway, the cotton material is soft (admittedly, not plush, but smooth and comfortable enough), and the designs are vibrant. The Mario/Luigi hologram is a fun touch, despite the lenticular patch being a bit rough (it adds to my toddler's enjoyment, so I can't necessarily knock on it). Ever since my son saw the new Super Mario Brothers movie, he has been asking for Mario toys and clothes. So I knew he would love this t-shirt & shorts set. Fortunately the size I ordered fits him perfectly. This will be good for him to wear on the weekend when it starts to warm up in March. The material is a blend of 60% cotton and 40% polyester. I can tell that it's very soft when I touch it, and he said it feels comfortable. So if your child is a Super Mario Brothers fan, I would highly recommend this outfit. ... show more
