I'm a pear shaped girl with Xtra large thighs. My hip measurements would require an 18. But, because I'm pear shaped AND there is enough stretch, the 16 fits GREAT. Close, but NOT tight feeling and the waist of just a lil big. So, a scarf or belt makes it work. For reference. I'm 5'8 and weigh about 215. I USUALLY state I weigh closer to 200lbs as a pear-shaped girl I can 'get away' with wearing a smaller style with clothes that have enough stretch. ... show more

Bought a size 4. I'm shorter (betw 5'4" and 5'5") - and weigh about 120 or so. I bought the jeans because they advertised having stretch. They do. They are a thicker denim - not a lightweight, soft material. They tend to wear with folds / creases / wrinkles as a result. I'm a fan of the softer material that lays well. I find this material to be scratchy, too. Others really like the thicker weight and feel. (Pardon the mess in the back ground of the photo.) Pros: Fabric is nice and thick, flattering for the booty, fits around my wide calves. Cons: It’s saggy around the belly and has a weird pattern on there that creates the appearance of folds. See photo. It’s like a belly was stuck on to my natural figure. So strange. I returned it. Also, I did size down in this (usually need a 14 to accommodate the booty but then I alter the waist to fit. With these jeans I got a 12 and the fit was spot on). I have an hourglass shape. These jeans were also the perfect length, not above ankle and not bunched up cause they’re too long either, which is the usual struggle when you’re 5’3”. Overall, I would say they’re not right for me but could work for others depending on size and body shape. ... show more
