Dress sandal Nina Footwear is one of the few family-run fashion companies in the shoe business. In the early 1950s, Mike and Stanley Silverstein were strolling around New York when they saw a woman walk by in wood bottom sandals. They asked her about where she had bought them, and when she named a chic boutique in the city, the two brothers knew the time was right to launch their reinterpretation of the clog -- a sexy, platform slide with a wood stiletto-like heel. It was this simple slide that launched Nina Footwear. Today, Nina's sexy, well-priced shoes are widely featured in fashion magazines. I purchased this shoe in 2 different sizes for my daughter to select the best fit to wear for her graduation. The shoe fit ok, was cute and basically served its purpose. However, I noticed that 1 shoe from each size that purchased was dirty/worn at the bottom. It look as though those particular shoes were used in a store as a sample/try-on shoe; might have even been worn outside. My daughter tried the shoes on indoors on carpet. Luckily the top of the shoes weren't worn or dirty. She wore the shoes to her graduation bc there was no time to exchange, but it was disappointing to receive worn shoes when you paid for new ones. My daughter is in the weird in between stage where the half size is too small and a full size up is too big. Even with that this size 5 seemed bigger than going up to the full size compared to other shoes I’ve bought. Had to return because there was no way she would grow in to it any time soon. So one shoe says 5 and one says 6...they look used. Shoes are big I wear a 7.5-8 in woman’s and I can fit in them with no problems. I have pictures for proof.
