Light pods themselves are amazing. waterproof harness is great, though only the harness connector points are waterproof. Still giving it 5 stars but that’s only if the switch is inside your dry car cab. I bought this for my motorcycle because I live out in the woods and need to be able to spot deer along the side of the road from a lot farther out since I'm not in a big protective cage. Had my switch on a handlebar with a protective cap over it to keep the rain out but the humidity in WA over the course of a single rain session was apparently enough to start corroding the solder on the switch’s circuit board and the DLR function stopped working. Bought a replacement switch and shot it full of dielectric grease for an additional $5 and its definitely waterproof now. ... show more

    • Great lights - short wiring won't reach most installations (in my opinion)

I impressed with the overall quality of the wiring harness and lights. The LEDs are bright and look amazing. However, the lead from the relay to the switch is ridiculously short. I installed on a 1971 GMC truck and am not running the switch through the dash or around anything. It is going directly from the left front grille through the firewall and under the steering wheel. It is a very straight shot and the lead for the switch barely makes the run and gives me no excess to run the wiring over the fender out of the way in a clean manner. It is just laying straight across the wheel well out in the open looking ugly because the lead for the switch is about 3-5 feet too short. If there is an extension that plugs directly inline, I would be willing to purchase. However due to the style of connector I cannot just buy something off the shelf. I am very impressed with everything else about the kit. . .minus the loose-feeling buttons on the switch itself. They perform fine, it just feels cheap. They are a bargain price so maybe I'm being too picky on that part. For the money, this unit is excellent and better than the old style lights I had previously. We willnsee how they last but so far I do like the lights. I am just disappointed with the harness length. If I was installing on a newer model car there is no way the switch would make it to where I would want to put it and where I would need to run it. Something for the manufacturer to consider. ... show more
