This easy to install if you want to just use the holes for your license plate. In my case it’s a older Subaru so i wasn’t worried about cosmetics underneath. I removed the bumper because of the 3-4” of foam between the plastic and structural part of the bumper. I hollowed out part of the foam and added 2 pieces of 2x2 square tubing and welded it to the car then ran bolts through the bracket and attached it to the frame with the tubing as a spacer to increase rigidity. There are enough places for the bolts i ran to still have access to the factory license plate holes. I wouldn’t want to try to take the bolts out just to get to the #plate. Overall I am sure I went over board but... I is sturdy AF Obviously this is a light bar bracket and not a brush guard although it is sturdy its still a plate of steel that is bent at 90degrees. So if you are wanting something for additional structural support for your weekend adventures I can’t say that it will hold up to abuse. But as for a good option for a cool license plate bracket with or without lights it is awesome. It even gives a Outback a little bit of a aggressive look. For the price!!!!! Don’t hesitate it’s easy to install and looks great. You don’t have to go crazy like I did (I made it a 4hr project) This can be installed in minutes and will be suitable for most people. I just beefed it up because The Subaru is for playing on the weekend and it gets abused. On a daily driver just use your factory holes. It would have been nice if some rubber washers/spacers were included. I haven’t noticed vibration but as you can tell I tend to get a little over zealous. ... show more

Light weight aluminum for looks and street use. I used to mount front lights on my zero turn. Faster than facing after some modification and worked great. The aluminum is easy to mod.

Fits into license plate holes okay, but super lightweight aluminum won't offer much protection from cars tapping your bumper while parking. It's strictly a light holder! Also it would have been nice if the ad mentioned that the maximum light bar size it can take is 14 inches.

When i got this car people said, "u should get fog lights". So i listened... But not like they expected. I like the rugged look my car has beneath both headlights. So i didnt want to install what the car has as an addition from the factory. This light bar gives it a look that stands out from every other one like mine. I have a theme for the car & this helps create my overall look. Some of 'those people' like the idea better too. Easy to install. Didnt want to damage the paint, so its good that it goes on the license plate. I added extra screws into the plate thru the light bar to reinforce it. This is good enough for bad parkers who think we still have rubber bumpers, & cuz most driving schools dont teach parallel parking... So it may be protection from those lil taps people leave u & drive off like it never happened... but i doubt itd provide u extra safety in an accident at various speeds. ... show more
