We previously didn't have any lighting and it was difficult to see to start our small engine pump in the dark at times. I bought these for a boat trailer. We launch our duck boat in the middle of the night and to say we have limited visibility when launching is an understatement. I needed a light that is bright and can take a few hits from sticks and branches. As well I needed a light that is waterproof and can be submerged in water for short periods of time. Not sure if they'll hold up to my specific use but the build quality and price made them an attractive purchase choice. The lights appear to be well made in a modern plant with attention to detail in assembly. All the necessary mounting hardware came in the box when it arrived. The hardware is metric so keep that in mind. I'll be using ball type friction mounts so the hardware isn't a focus point for me. The wiring is a simple two wire DC configuration. The leads are about 9" long so additional wiring maybe needed depending on your specific needs. ... show more

I purchased these lights for my ATV. They will serve in both a recreational and utility capacity. The quality of the lights is good and they are easy to connect. I gave overall 4 stars because the lights, at 18w, are just not bright enough to serve in the way I was hoping. For recreation they are not bright enough if you get up to speed and need to see down the trail in order to pick your line. For utility they aren't bright enough because, if you've ever had to work in the dark, they just don't light up the area the way that makes working at night easier. If you're looking for just a little more light for easy trail riding these lights would work, but if you push it a little faster they just don't have what you'll need. ... show more

I used these as roof top auxiliary lights for our Ford E-350 Camper van...While I like the lights, the mounts don't allow sufficient space between the tightening bolts and the cable exit point which makes mounting more of a hassle than it should be. Also, the bolts rusted after 3 months----the mounting hardware SHOULD have come with stainless steel bolts. I am VERY disappointed with the mounting hardware and having to rebuy it and reinstall new bolts on my dime! ... show more

Two of these were installed on a combine (harvester) as work lights to see the crop as it feeds into the header, the part of the machine that “picks” the crop from the field. This header in the pic is about 18’ wide, and the two lights do an awesome job, literally making daylight from night, and covering the entire header evenly. They are the lower lights in the photo - the upper ones are Nilight 12” bar lights, which are equally as effective in lighting ahead of the machine. We would have struggled to harvest after dark with the old halogen lights but had zero issues seeing at night with these. I have purchased other brands in the past for our equipment, but these have easily surpassed the quality and output of any of them. Now to find other equipment that needs lights….! ... show more
