Had to grind a little of the bracket to get it to fit around the weld of my hitch but the bracket is plenty beefy enough to accommodate a little metal removal! I also added a couple flat brackets to mount the lights to instead of using the curved ones that came in the kit. I didn't want the lights to
hang down low and catch something on the ground. I wanted them up high. I wired to the supplied rocker to the dash.(getting the wire through the firewall was NOT fun)! Had to add a lot of wire to get them to the back of my truck, but they are super bright and I bet I don't have anybody coming up behind me with the bright lights very long!

Mount so that the wiring harness is underneath the light
Color: Led Pods + tow hitch +Wiring Harness
I thought the mounting bracket was an absolutely brilliant idea, as I needed them for backup lights on my 2023 Kawasaki mule, it worked out perfectly fits tight it went together 1 2 3, I believe you should keep the wiring harnesses underneath the lights it won't accumulate water.

THESE LIL SUCKERS ARE BRIGHT!!!
Color: Led Pods + tow hitch
These lights arrived in a very timely fashion... they were well packed and showed no damage to the box. The instructions were easy to follow and installed in about 30 mins. Since I had previously wired in a different set of lights, (LED strip light units, that mount where your license plate attaches
to the car... I had installed two of them. One above and one below the tag for the purpose of safe, night time backing up). Btw, if you're considering these units, don't waste your time/$$! They claimed to be waterproof, etc, etc... (spoiler alert- they're NOT!!!) They lasted about a year... A couple of weeks ago, I backed up in front of a glass storefront where I could see the reflection in my rearview mirror. Of the 24 "super bright XENON LED lights", one set was approx 50% lit, and the other? About 25% lit after just 1 year! (and I'm not sure how long I rode around like that!) On this unit, however, they are easily 2-3 times the brightness/range of those strip lights!! Since I just installed them, my review is somewhat incomplete... I gave them the highest 5 star rating in everything, except durability.... (only 3 stars so far, as time will tell, (with the durability of them). But I have a much better sense of quality with these than I did the orig ones, which I scrapped). Whew! that was a mouth-full! I chose to not buy the extra wiring kit with a dash mounted switch, (which I guess would be handy if you wanted them for say, camping purposes, setting up your site in the dark). I had some appropriate wire on hand, which I used to wire them directly into the backup light circuit of the vehicle. ANYWAY!! So far I am THRILLED in all aspects of this product, save for the durability...( which, I hope I'll remember to update the reliability factor in say, 6 mos. or so). Good luck with yours!! CHEERS!!!

I put it on the back of my Toyota Highlander. Ran the wires to the back-up lamp. Now I can see behind and to the sides while backing up.

Better know how to fabricate metal.

The light it self is great and just what I needed for the back of my plow truck for lots of light in reverse backing up. The brackets that go around the trailer hitch do not just come out of the box and fit at all. I had to use my grinder on the receiver and also the bracket to widen the fit. What sh
ould have been a 30 minute job lasted 3 hours. Have an angle grinder and a good bench vise and a couple of hefty c- clamps to custom make the opening and fit your rigs hitch receiver. My truck is a 2016 Chevy double cab that I use for my personal plow truck on my property. When wiring to have reverse lights, tap into the backside of your factory installed 7 way adapter and Tee your wire into the white for your negative feed and my reverse wire on my truck was a light gray with a thin green stripe. Over all everything works great and the two lights are nice and bright. No more backing up into things while plowing in the dark. . n

Works as it should. One thing I would like to see is it designed to hold 2 light pods on each side 👍

This was for my husband's truck. He had trouble fitting the light on so he searched for videos to get help. He found videos that answered his questions. With some adjustments he got the light on. He also ran a switch to his dashboard. He says it puts out a lot of light. That helps him see when he's b
acking up and it helps drivers see him coming out.

Works great and pretty stout / sturdy construction.

Worked great for what I needed and will likely order a couple more for two other vehicles. Needed better light for the flatbed and plan to put one on the SUV and another truck. Great to have for hooking up trailers in the dark and other "need some light" scenarios. I like it!

The 60 watt lights are great but the mounting bar that fits over the receiver does not work as good for me.. It will not fit on the truck because the bumper is to close to the receiver.. So the next problem that I found trying to mount the bar is the saftey chain for a trailer,,, looks as if it would
break the lights,, So if your thinking about this type of mount,, look out for the trailer saftey chains hook up that will be very close to your lights when you turn sharp!!! but the quality of the set up is nice ,, just didn't work for me,, will drill a hole to mount the light away from the hitch.

You'll notice the bracket has two inner diameters; a larger and smaller one. My OEM trailer hitch on my Colorado actually has a very similar design, in that there's a larger diameter lip on the very end of the tube (sort of like a welded bead). So, the larger inner diameter section of this bracket fi
ts perfect over that lip (just have to face it the correct way). However, the smaller inner diameter does not fit over the diameter of the square tube of my hitch. Therefore, I had to grind it out just a little so it would slide down over that square tube. Now it fits nice and snug and I don't have to worry about it sliding off the back because that lip prevents that from happening. The lights are plenty bright. I tapped into the center wire (gray) of the 7 pin trailer outlet for reverse only lights, using a T tap type wire connector. I then ran the black to a bolt on the frame to ground it. Works great. Oh, and you can see the reason I needed these lights by the dent in my bumper. Can't see crap out of the back of a Colorado at night when it's pouring rain. This should solve that problem.

My trailer hitch has horizontal plates with chain hookup holes on the sides and this thing is just a hair too thick to fit between those and the "lip" on the end of the hitch. I used a rubber mallet to smack in the bottom piece as far as I could and fastened the top piece. Because of the plates, or p
robably more because of the weld between the plates and the hitch, it's just short of a perfect fit and the light bracket is actually angled UP maybe a degree or two, so I had to adjust the lights themselves ALL the way down just to get them parallel to the ground. Can't get them pointed any lower. The wires on the lights are right where the plates are as well so I angled them to the sides about 30 degrees ... but I happen to think there's a side to side adjustment on the lights' brackets themselves so I'm going to see if I can do that and get the lights more straight back.
