I wore minimalist footwear for a while and still own a pair of Vibrams and a pair of wide toe box sneakers. That said, no minimalist footwear has come close to the performance of Metcons for me. Yeah, I trade off having my toes squeezed some, but in exchange I get the most stable sneaker I have ever worn. That stability translates to safety during lifts and when I need to sprint. My previous Metcons were a pair of Turbos and I would take these over those any day. I end up wearing these as around town shoes a lot which means that I'll be purchasing another pair (and probably another after that as well). These shoes look just as great in person as they do on the ad. I'm a shoe guy, I love shoes like there is no tomorrow. and i have a lot of them, and the I never get more anxious than i do getting shoes online. I dont know if it the hassle of sending them back or the build up of the possibility of greatness only to be let down when they arrive., (i know i can be a little dramatic lol). anyway let me tell you these shoes look just as great in front of you than they do in the ad!! they feel great and feel like they are actually going to last a while. i dont know how to explain it but you know when you wear a quality shoe that feels like its going to last a long time. The size is true to all my other nikes, they are stylish and look great. my only complaint would be that they are a little klunky, if you know what i mean. they are a bit stiff and when you walk in them they feel a little Klunky, Im sure that will smooth out with a little wear, but yea, at first they are a little stiff. Ill check back in and tell you all if they loosen up any. if they are like most shoes they will. other than that they are great. look great fit great. The shoe looked really nice, but I was sent a women's size 8 instead of a men's size 8, as it stated. I could not get the shoe on. Had to return.
