I purchased these Nike Omni Multi-Court sneakers because I needed a durable shoe for my child to wear during indoor gym class and for flag football. I usually try to get barefoot shoes for my kids because they are flexible, have a wider toe box, and are better for overall foot health. I specifically bought these because I read they didn't have a super narrow toe box—and they don't! For a mainstream shoe, they are decently wide and flexible. My kid loves them and wears them every day. They have gotten pretty stinky since he wears them for all sports activities, but I'm sure any sneaker would under those conditions. The Good (Pros) Wider Toe Box: Unlike typical narrow Nikes, these give the toes room to splay naturally. Super Lightweight: At less than a pound, these shoes do not weigh my child down when he is running around. Excellent Court Grip: The multi-court rubber soles provide great traction on indoor gym floors and prevent slipping. Low-Top Comfort: The low-top design allows for full ankle movement during sports and gymnastics. The Bad (Cons) Fabric Cleaning: The breathable material on the top feels great, but it traps dirt easily if they play in the mud. Sizing Runs Snug: Like many Nike styles, we found these ran just a little bit small. We did size up to a 12, even though he usually wears an 11, and they fit great. You may want to size up if your child is between sizes.
