I can’t attest for basketball, but for walking around, these shoes helped my plantar fasciitis in my heel because they have such a big heel cushion. I spent hours looking for the perfect shoe with a bit of style and heel protection. I found these a half size small on a great deal and went for it. Man they are awesome!! Even though I went small, they broke in nicely. I can wear them without tying them, or I can tie them up to make them more secure. The only downside is they squeak a bit when you walk.
