I ordered this on a whim for a “Celestial Bodies” themed party. I was so focused on getting something quick that I didn’t think about it being “plus size friendly.” I was worried it wouldn’t fit, but I really liked the overall look. The neckpiece comes about 5/6th the way around your neck and then has a small gold chain to complete connection. The fit of neck was fine for me. I did find that after several hours the piece would slightly adjust and rub and it became uncomfortable, but it was bearable (for the look ok lol). The chains didn’t fit me like the skinnier model (I’m a 16 with a 38D-ish chest)—but they still gave the effect I was looking for. It’s super lightweight, and when I pulled it out of the bag it miraculously was not tangled. However, be careful when you take it off after and initial try on and just set it down. It easily gets tangled and I recommend hanging it in between try ons or wears. I’m just impatient and adhd af and can’t stand dealing with tangles—it’s a very unfun puzzle lol. I didn’t experience any tarnishing, and it’s sturdy for what it is—but I wouldn’t expose this to water or put any undue pressure on it. Treat it like it looks I guess I should say. I knew this would look a little cheap - as it is obviously cheap and not gold platted, but I was bummed that it broke so easily. I barely pulled on it, and the chains broke free so they just hang down instead of staying in the loop. But it was still cute and a sexy add-on to any outfit. Cute and lots of fun to dance in! Everyone in my belly dance troupe bought one for us to perform it. Costume jewelry tends to be a casualty after show time and often ends up broken but this lasted so far!
