We used these for a movie in the park situation that had 21 in chair height max. These were comfortable and sturdy. Being low to the ground does make it challenging standing up. They were easy, light to transport and just what we needed.

Was looking for a sturdy beach chair that I could pack in a suitcase without needing to disassemble it. This chair *just* fits, see photo for how much space it will take up in a 28” hard shell roller bag (mine has a 26” interior height). If you can spare the space in your checked bag, this chair feels sturdy (I’m about 225 lbs, and I don’t feel like I’m sitting on something flimsy) and is possible to pack to avoid beach chair rental fees on vacation. Even if you’re not intending to pack it on a plane, it’s a nice chair. I’m a bigger person, but the seat had plenty of width for me and is comfortable for lounging. The frame is thicker than other beach chairs I’ve used, and it feels very sturdy despite its light weight. Looking forward to using it on my beach vacation this week. ... show more

I don’t dislike this chair at all especially for the price but you should know: 1) it is extremely low to the ground. I specifically bought this for an outdoor concert with a chair height limit. But it tests my knee mobility even at 36. Expect to squat all the way down to the ground to sit and come all the way back up to stand. Should be cautious not to wear dresses/skirts that are too short. 2) One of the plastic caps on the supports for the chair back was missing. Of course I didn’t realize at first as the chair back loops over them. But the 4th time of use, I felt a “snap” and it turns out because there was no plastic cap, the support pole poked through the top of the chair back. It is now my backup chair. ... show more

Have only used to one trip to the beach with this chair but I really liked the way this chair sits off the sand a bit higher than the traditional beach chairs where the bottom almost hits the sand- so low that they are hard to get out of. Also like that it comes in a bag with a strap and it is easy to carry- much easier than carrying a fold up type. This is like a mini version of the taller pop up chairs. I found it very comforable.
