  • Nissan sells these as OEM; ready to install; do-it-yourself quick & easy; car part shops loan tools.
This was a better price for four than buying individually, and was the best price I found -- certainly better than at local car parts stores. And changing the spark plugs myself saved *me* $200, based on what my mechanic would have charged, in exchange for a little time, maybe ten minutes at a buddy's house, since he already owns the torque wrench I needed. I found the instructions for how to replace the old spark plugs in a few videos online; they also walked me through what I would see when I opened the hood of my car and as I proceeded with the replacement, which was helpful and reassuring. It made the whole process easy. If you're comfortable using a wrench or ratchet, I recommend doing this yourself when needed if saving money is any concern for you. The tools you need are very simple, and although not everyone will have the torque wrench, spark plug socket, or even the right size sockets or wrenches for the bolts, several car parts store chains offer loaner tools you can use in their parking lots for free. (If you don't know how to use a torque wrench, there are plenty of videos out there for that, too. It's just a special wrench with features to help prevent you from under- or over-tightening. Some are analog, and some are digital, but both types do the same job.) By the way, you can use the ignition coils in your engine to pull the old spark plugs out once you've unthreaded them, and if you're careful, you can use them to gently place the new spark plugs in place to screw down as well; just rest them in the coil's cup without actually seating them and carefully use the sidewall of the chamber to slide the spark plugs into place without letting them drop. A special tool for this exists, but if you don't have it, you don't need it. As for these specific spark plugs, my mechanic told me that these are the same ones sold and installed by Nissan for my 2012 Nissan Altima, which they simply rebrand and repackage. So I got OEM parts for a much lower price, and I haven't had any problems from them since I installed them a couple of weeks ago. These also don't require use of a gap tool to make sure they're properly calibrated; they come with the proper spacing and the packaging specifically states that a gap tool should *not* be used. They come ready to be installed! I can happily recommend this product if it's what you need. ... show more

  • Great Product
They were supposed to already be gapped for our car, but I used my gapper, and the vehicle works just fine. All the issues we had were bolts breaking and that wasn't part of the actual sparkplugs, as frustrating as that was…

  • Same as OEM for my 2011 Altima 2.5L
I was not having any issues with the original set with 173K on them, but I did hear how using them too long can put strain on electrical components because they may require higher voltage. So I changed them. Only complaint is they are pretty pricey, but they work well and last a long time.
