This is a knit fabric and feels like a very heavy duty, high quality T-shirt. So understand that, depending on where you plan to wear it. It is very flattering, but isn't "fancy" because of the fabric. I've washed it once and dried it and it came out looking great, so bonus points for easy care. The only things I don't love are the snap sewn in the top to make it more modest.... love the idea, but they used a bright silver snap so it's very visible/noticeable. A black one would have been perfect. Alas! And similarly, there is no snap for modesty on the very high slit and a black one that didn't show would be much appreciated. But it is comfortable and flattering and machine washable, so yay! Overall a winner! ... show more

I ordered a small. I’m 5’1” and weigh about 135 lbs. I’m top heavy wearing a 34DD. The dress fits fabulous!! It hits the ground perfect without shoes and after removing the bust snap, it looks great! Straps are adjustable for added support. I haven’t worn it out yet as it just came in but I’m so excited! I would buy more but I’m not a huge fan of the other patterns and fear the solid won’t give the same look. We’ll see if I decide to purchase another. I definitely recommend this dress!! ... show more

I get so many compliments on this dress! I love the fabric & the fit. The only complaint that I have is the overlap in the breast area. There's a little button that if left unwrapped, the silver button is visible, but if snapped closed then the overlap in fabric gets caught under my breast & causes an opening in the overlap. This dress was perfect for a wedding I attended! I loved the colors and the fabric was a nice, thick, material. It fit great and I liked the modesty button which kept the front securely closed. I will say that the slit does not go as high or own as easily as it does in the picture. I wish it would open a little as I walked. I ordered a size medium (5’4” 140) and am keeping it. The fabric is a heavy cotton with a lot of sizing in it, so I think it will wear and hang better once it’s washed. There were a number of comments that the slit was too high, so I’m going to remove the snap from the bust area and move it about 10 inches below my waist to keep the slit closed a bit more. Or I might just make a little stitch. The fabric is heavy enough that you wouldn’t even be able to notice it and then I don’t have to worry about flashing the world! This dress is my all time favorite! The fabric is so soft and hangs so well! A little long since I'm only 5"1 but nothing a good pair of heels couldn't fix. Will be buying a few more in other colors. If you're on the fence, BUY IT! Best decision I've ever made.

I purchased this dress for my birthday celebration, and was looking for something a little more glamorous than what I received. The solid color portion on top is a cotton material that makes the dress more of an every day dress then something for a special occasion. The patterned material on the bottom was a nice material, and I think that if I had gotten a dress where all of the material had a pattern, then it may have been a better option for the elevated occasion I was looking for. I do see the concern that other people have written about with the clasp on the chest and I likely would have colored it black to blend in.
