This is my first set of rings but very impressed for the price. Rings are smooth and feel great in the hands. Cam buckle is heavy duty and the markings on the straps are super helpful when setting up. Graphics and packaging are way nicer than you’d expect at this price point. I have these hanging from a wall mounted pull-up bar and weigh about 185lbs and they have no problem handling the weight as long as you set them up correctly. I don’t see why you’d spend more on the big brands when these are just as nice for less. I debated getting the carabiner style over the cam type but I think the cam style is easier and quicker to make fine adjustments during your workout. Highly recommended! ... show more

These feel pretty solid to me I have no complaints. They hold my weight up great I hung them from the titan fitness bar ceiling mount. I'm 175ish and no issues.

I didn't expect plywood to feel this good. They are strong and smooth, but easy to grip. The straps have the necessary uniformity features and I've nothing to complain about. It exceeded my expectations and makes glad I didn't over-spend. Highly recommend.

I’ve been looking a new effective way to challenge myself since gyms are closed, so I started looking at calisthenics and bodyweight workouts. This one piece of equipment was the answer. The quality is exceptional. The straps and buckles are super strong and well-built. The wood finish is smooth and textured to facilitate a solid grip. I previously got a pair of rings with the carabiner mechanism but it was so annoying to adjust lengths as you have to adjust 4 clips on both straps, so I decided to get the more traditional cam buckle ones. The adjustment is much easier and much faster. The numbers coming out of the extra strap makes it easy to make matching adjustments and they are not printed on, so it won’t be wearing off. As long as you follow the instructions on setting up, it’s smooth sailing. This is the only set selling with a chalk ball combo which I found very effective for grip traction on the wood without damaging it. I reached out to customer service and they answered questions I had really quickly. They also produce useful guides on social media to get started on rings training. I have already made a lot of progress in bodyweight skills and overall strength. This set of rings has crazy solid construction, it will probably outlive me. ... show more

I bought this as a fitness gift for my heavier-set boyfriend (218lbs, 6’3”) as an addition to his home gym. I was especially pleased that the packaging makes it quite nice to gift. The quality of the materials is terrific; the straps and buckles are very sturdy and holds him up no problem when following the instructions to set up properly. The craftsmanship of the wooden rings is beautiful, they are smooth and have a comfortable grip. The straps are long enough that he can take them to the park or our backyard and hang them from a tree for higher mounting and have workouts outdoors too. My boyfriend has never used gym rings before and he is really enjoying this new way of working out. Grey fox seems like a new company and is producing content regularly on bodyweight and calisthenics skills, suggested routines and fitness tips that’s helping my boyfriend get started.
