I really wanted to love the Fi Series 3+, and in some ways I do. The fitness and step-tracking features are excellent, and the social/“Instagram for dogs” side of the app is fun and well done. If you’re looking for a Fitbit-style activity tracker for your dog, this product does a great job. Unfortunately, the location tracking — the main reason I bought this — was very unreliable. From day one, the GPS only provided accurate location when the collar was connected to my phone via Bluetooth. The Safe Zone exit alerts never worked properly, which defeats the purpose of having a GPS collar for peace of mind. Customer service was also disappointing. They ran multiple “lost dog tests” and stated the device was functioning correctly, but the real-world performance never improved. Eventually, they claimed that chew marks caused the GPS issue and used that as the basis to deny the warranty claim. Pros: Excellent activity and fitness tracking Clean, enjoyable app with social features Comfortable and well-designed collar Cons: GPS tracking unreliable unless connected via Bluetooth Safe Zone alerts inconsistent or nonfunctional Customer support unwilling to honor warranty after several months Final thoughts: If you want a fitness tracker for your dog, this is a solid product. But if you’re buying it for peace of mind in case your dog gets loose, or you expect strong warranty support, you may want to consider other options.

I love it so far! Battery lasts awhile, but I charge it every night anyway, even if it’s at 98%. I had some trouble attaching the tracker to the collar, but after a YouTube tutorial I got it. I LOVE THE STEP FEATURE!!! The behavior part is nice too. The community page is cute imo. The GPS seems to work good for us! Even 4 miles from home.
