Excellent collar, You know exactly where your pet is! Battery life after 5 days is at 82%,so lm thinking at least 2 weeks before charging is necessary. Bought large collar and it has a metal buckle which is secure, and as long as your dog is wearing it , its precise location is always visible. Noticed when I took my dog to groomer a few days ago, I freaked out because it showed my dog was near the highway. I called groomer immediately and she reassured me Finn was there and okay. When she called to let me know that he was done, I checked location and it showed him at the groomers location. I think when she removed collar to groom him this is when its location wasn’t accurate , once she put collar back on it solved that issue. Highly recommended

We have an Australian Shepard who is very active. U fortunately our 25 acres doesn’t contain her and she continuously left our property and we would have to go looking for her. I found the Fi Series 3 and decided to give it a try. This is the best solution we could have come up with. Now we can rest in peace knowing that we can always find her. I was not sure this would work in the country but it amazing. We set up a safe zone and we get a notification if she leaves it. She is really fast so she can get a distance away before we see she has left. But now we know where she is headed. Best money I have ever spent…..worth every penny. Great app and so easy to set up and use. Very accurate

Dont buy this unless you're desperate! So many things to mention. First off.. nothing worked the way the instructions indicated. You scan a qr code and a menu screen guides you they the set up. The device that actually tracks your pets location and goes on the collar doors not connect to the collar the way the instructions indicate. It didn't mention you can get stuck trying to do connect it the wing way as there are 2 ways to insert it. There is only one way it connects.. so confusing. Another problem i ran in to was the collar size. If you make a mistake on the size you can't order a collar only. You have to buy a whole new set with GPS tracker. I sized mine correctly but the cooler doesn't fit my pet so be careful. Once you get the collar activated which means getting the base connected to your home Wi-Fi your supposed to be done. My base station would not connect to my wifi So I had to do it manually. Once I was able to get it online... I cannot activate the collar which is required to be touching the base station. After I got everything connected and online and the geofence set. I get alerts saying that the pet has went outside the boundary. Even though the collar is still on the base station charging. Then I get alerts saying that the base station is disconnected. Even though it is connected and the Wi-Fi in the house is still on. So overall I don't like this product. I haven't been able to use it outside of the home because I had to go buy a different collar which is by a third party provider and expensive to be fi compatible.. bottom line is they made a proprietary collar and GPS that is nearly impossible to alter to get it to work with your custom collar. If you have your pet's name or anything else like that on there. I haven't even tried using customer service cuz I've been so frustrated with simply just trying to get this set up. Once I get my replacement collar and I'm able to go drive around to see if my pet is tracking in real time, I'll provide a second review and update.

I bought my Fi Collar after my dog squeezed through our fence to chase after a squirrel and was missing for 30 minutes without my boyfriend’s knowledge when I was working. Since getting this collar my dog has had 2 escapes, one straight out the front door and one instance where a family friend left the side gate open. Both cases alerted pretty much instantly after my dog left the safe zone and I was able to locate him in the same field both times (dang squirrels) I liked that not only is it GPS, but it tracks health data as well (not entirely accurate when it comes to eating/drinking but checks the boxes elsewhere. When he leaves the house with either me or my boyfriend it even notifies that he is traveling with a designated person. It’s waterproof which was a major bonus. It stands up to our long dock diving days. The unit itself is durable, not a huge fan of the collar it comes with so I bought a custom compatible one and only use the cheap one when we swim. The battery lasts forever (takes 2 weeks to get below 50%). Overall I love this collar, the way it functions and looks. The peace of mind I have had with this collar has made it so so worth it

Dog: 22-pound terrier escape artist I’ve had Maisie on an AirTag for quite some time and it did help, but I was interested in testing out the Fi system, hoping it would give me an alert if she left our house’s safe zone and provide an accurate GPS location so I could then track her down. The other metrics are nice, but in all honesty, this is a device that I’m hoping I never actually have to use for its purchased intent. Ultimately, I returned it after I discovered there was a Mini version available. The size of the two are relatively similar, but the weight is drastically different. The collar that it came with was also incredibly bulky and I didn’t like how it would restrict me to that specific thickness. IMPORTANT! The two devices utilize different cellular carriers to transmit data: Fi Series 3+: Operates on the AT&T LTE-M network. Fi Mini: Operates on the Verizon network. I can only comment on the accuracy of the Mini, but if you know that your area varies on quality of cellular networks, you may want to take this into consideration. The app itself works well. The “Safe Zone” you can designate has a minimum size that’s a little larger than I would like. For example, I can’t just set it to my backyard if she were to make it out of there and was in the immediate neighbors yard or the front yard it wouldn’t trigger. I’ve only had one instance where it said that she left the safe zone but was actually there, and the GPS tracking on walks has been very accurate. Other important differences between the two: - Series 3+ battery can last up to 3 months, while the Mini says up to 6 weeks. I got a notification on my phone when it was at 10% and it suggested recharging. - Series 3+ uses a proprietary charging device and the Mini uses a standard USB-C cable - The Mini includes a rubber sleeve that allows her to attach to almost any collar. The Series 3+ feels incredibly sturdy and overall has a very nice design. If I had a larger dog, I would go with that. For a 20-pound dog I think it would be uncomfortable. If you typically purchase 1/2-inch collars, go with the Mini. If your dog is fine with 1-inch collars, the Series 3+ will probably be great. And of course, all of this is cellular network dependent.

Second Fi collar we bought for our second dog. It works great, easy to setup and use, and app had a very customer friendly UI. GPS tracking and health tracking seems to be working as intended. Overall, great smart dog collar.

We hike on a farm where Layla can run off leash. I took a different route from our usual and after not seeing her for a short while I started whistling. She didn’t come and the panic began. Without going into all the details of speed walking back to the truck, then back to where I lost her, getting through the gate without letting the cows out and huffing and puffing up a very steep hill while trying to whistle; I found her. We came home, called the neighbor to see which tracking collar he had and ordered the Fi. We have had it for 5 months and it is fantastic. We are in a very rural area but the Fi has never went out of service. The battery lasts for at least a week and she wears it every day. It is rugged and waterproof. Layla is a Vizsla, very active. She runs through woods, fields and creeks and her collar has held up perfectly. It is also interesting to see how far she runs on our walks. I have had to use lost dog mode on several occasions. Her recall has improved tremendously from when she was lost. I think it scared her also. It is very reassuring to be able to start lost dog mode and see exactly where she is at. I am very happy with the quality and performance of the collar. Edit: I purchased a second collar for my grand dog. Both collars work well, most of the time. My location is rural and a heavily wooded area. I started having problems with erratic tracking. I understand the reason why-heavy leaf cover and both times when I could not access Lost Dog mode there were overcast skies. My issue is with the amount of time it took Fi to answer their helpline. I called because my dog was missing and the tracker showed no data. I was on hold for 40 minutes. Fortunately she showed up about the time the call was answered. It was turned over to the tech team and it has taken them almost a month to provide an answer and suggestions for better tracking. I will continue to pay for my subscriptions. The collar did work very well before the trees leafed out. Just be aware that this is not a guarantee that you will always be able to track your dog. And the customer service is snail pace.
