This backing holds sturdy and doesn’t fall apart. It’s the perfect size for my machine and the white doesn’t show through. I’m very happy with the quality and size. I will definitely buy again because this feels like it will last through a lot of projects.

I've been using this tear away stabilizer for hand embroidery on a crewneck sweater from Gildan that is 50% cotton and 50% polyester and it's been holding up great! There aren't any reviews that shows anybody using it for hand embroidery so I was really nervous to buy this and try it but it's surprised me with how sturdy and easy to use it has been while I've been doing the embroidery on the pattern! Love it!

When I got & opened this stabilizer I immediately checked my order to make sure I ordered the right thing. It’s labeled medium weight but be aware it’s thick and super stiff. I still wonder if I got a roll of heavyweight that was mis-labeled. I kept it figuring I’d use it anyway, but it’s just too heavy for what I’m doing. If that’s what you’re looking for then this is a good quality stabilizer, but if you’re looking for something between no-show and card stock then this might not be for you. :)
