Going from the V1 to the V2 was kind of disappointing. The V1 really were so comfortable without any break in period. The V2 are definitely a lot more stiff and less squishy. The worst part thus far is the edges around the ankle, I can see them becoming a problem (as far as rubbing on bony prominences) and hope they soften up a bit. They were the first thing I noticed but thankfully didn't rub too much on my first run in these. They don't seem to propel you forward as the others if that makes any sense. Hmmmmm....jury is out. Still going to give them a try but so far they are not an upgrade from the previous model.

The break in period for this shoe is a bit brutal. The material around the ankle is incredibly stiff so it rubs hard against skin. The insoles do not offer much arch support. But they are truly a wide toe box so I appreciate that.

I LOVED V1 as they were so comfortable, and cushiony and didn't need any break-in period. I just got these and expected the same thing but they're nowhere near as comfortable. I just returned from a walk and my feet hurt. This didn't happen at all with V1. I hunted for another pair of V1 before purchasing these but couldn't find them, so went ahead and took the chance on V2 thinking how different can they be? Well the answer to that is VERY different!

I do not do use these for running in but for working where on my feet for 8to9 hrs on tile floors. They are amazing!! I have so much less pain in my feet and legs. No more tears trying to walk home after my shift as I did with other brands. I went thr so many shoes trying to find a pair like these so I can work and not be in so much pain. *I also have neuropathy nerve pain in both feet. Wish I found these sooner. Got 2 xtr pairs and gave pair as a gift to my sister.

I am a food server, and it was time to get a new pair of shoes . I wore them the first day at work, and they hurt my feet.. I should have worn them at home for a while. I decided to wear them the following day for work, and they fit me like a glove. No pain and extremely comfortable.. I would definitely buy these again!!

I loved the look of these shoes, and love New Balance and have worn them for years, but on just the second wearing the tongue started to buckle up and rub. Then, even though the description says they are supportive, I wore them to a running store, and sales staff told me I shouldn't be wearing these at all as they have no support even with additional insoles. I'm a senior and wear for walking, but she said that with my bad knee, I should return these. But of course I missed the return window by a week. My suggestion would be to spend a little more and get different shoes that actually do have support.

I have several pairs of these shoes. I wear them to work out, around the house, and for leisure activities. I work 12-hour shifts at the hospital and found these shoes to provide the best comfort and support for long hours. I recommend them. I love them.
