  • Great shoe!!
Super comfortable, perfect fit, solid for CrossFit and lifting, and it’s a great looking shoe. If you’re looking for a good performance shoe I’d definitely recommend this one!!

  • New Balance Minimalist Trail Runners
The media could not be loaded. Love these for: 1. The sleek look, neutral color, minimal soiling 2. Comfort - my orthotics fit in, good ankle support 3. The durability of the button and string closure system 4. Versatility. Can wear with a skirt strolling in NYC, or use during Crossfit. You can grip the ground through the sole with your toes. Cons: 1. The sole wears out quickly 2. The tongue of the shoe frays 3. This was apparently only a 1-year offering. This year's model only comes in white, which is ridiculous for a trail running shoe. White in dirt?! So buy this last year's model and color while the old stock exists . ... show more

  • Interesting shoe
Shoe came in an open box, which is fine but it wasn’t a New Balance box. The string wouldn’t release on one shoe and the other string was broken. And not cute at all. Didn’t even try them on. The white looked dirty like it had been worn for months but the sole was obviously not worn at all. I think just a bad design. I like my other NB shoes so that’s why a 3 star instead of a 1 star review. ... show more

  • Big
I’ve purchased minimalist shoes from NB before and I usually size up one full size for extra wiggle room. I did so with these and it was like sizing up 2x. Much bigger than previous versions. I will have to return as they are just way too big. It seems like maybe ordering my own size would be better ? Maybe they run big 🤷♀️ otherwise the shoe itself is pretty nice. Looks slick and the lace mechanism is easy to tighten/loosen hence the 4stars. ... show more

  • Good for weight training
I use these for my barbell routine. The flat soles help me feel like my feet are on the floor instead of on the shoes, if that makes sense. The soles are firm but flexible, you will feel what you're stepping on but they aren't squishy. In my opinion, they do run a bit shorter than other NB styles I have worn, so consider sizing up a half size. ... show more

  • Suffocate my feet. Not comfortable barefoot or otherwise.
These do not let your feet breathe like the old Minimus shoes. I am very highly aware I have the foot version of a straight jacket on whereas with older minimus shoes, I forgot I had anything on my feet. I used to be able to walk in the minimus trail 10v1 shoes nonstop for miles and days on all my travels. They would tear after several years and I would buy a new one. It became evident after each new purchase that New Balance cared less and less about women and only made these available for men and then completely phased it out. ... show more

  • Very comfortable once you figure out your size!
After reading some reviews, I ordered this shoe in the wide version of my regular size (US 8.5 women's). When I tried them on I could barely get my foot in. I figured there was no way that only half a size or even one size up would fit, so I ordered a US 10 women's (regular width). Those were too big but I felt 9.5 wide would be just right, so third time was the charm! I actually ordered women's 9.5 wide but the label doesn't have the "w" next to the size nor did it have the tag that said "wide" that the first pair had, so I believe these are regular width. Of note, I am consistently either 8.5 or 9 in women's shoes, so this shoe is definitely weirdly made BUT I'm glad I kept trying because they are super comfortable! I'm in healthcare and have plantar fasciitis, and recently started my barefoot/mimimalist/zero drop shoe journey, and saw someone describe these as the perfect transitional shoe. I agree, since they have more "cushion" than my other barefoot shoes. Please note I don't work with sharps, so I'm not worried about them being a soft material around the toes. I've noticed that when I wear them, I don't get the painful plantar fasciitis flare-up the next morning. I wish they made more colors so I could have a second pair! ... show more
