These are my babies!!! I LOVE them for my daily easy runs, all my long runs, I’ve even done some faster pace runs in them and they are just the literal best cushioned daily trainers out there in this price range and they even beat a lot of the other more expensive options available. Perfect for beginners. These were my first pair when I got started and I am so happy I chose these. They’re perfect for wider feet too! I love that they are very stable, highly cushioned but not super heavy and you can trust them at mile 1 or mile 100. They keep my legs injury free and fresh even after doing SERIOUS mileage increases in them over time. I can’t recommend them enough and I will keep repurchasing these over and over as my fav daily trainers.     • Better than all the orthopedic shoes out there for neuropathy and plantar fasciitis

After suffering from neuropathy and recently plantar fasciitis, I had bought a shoe called OrthoFeet, these helped very little as did the many, many inserts over the years. I mentioned this in passing to my pain doc who treats my back and he suggested I try the New Balance 1080, he wears his all day on his feet and during surgeries. So, I thought I'd give them a try. I have balance issues so the thickness of the sole worried me as I was afraid it might make me trip which is why in the past I have not tried similarly made shoes. Let me just say that the pain is not totally gone, (it never will be) but it is very much improved wearing these shoes. I can go for walks again with my dog and I haven't tripped once. I did put an insert in them for my high arches but other than that, they are comfortable right out of the box. The OrthoFeet shoe is not even close in comparrison to the New Balance 1080, I hope they never stop making these because I am a customer for life now. I find training and walking my dog, I do not slip or trip, the tread is great for grip. I like the style, they go with everything and come in many colors. They are made well, with good stitching and durability and they function as a walking or running shoe. I probably won't be running but I could..lol The price is a good value, especially compared to all the so-called orthopedic shoes out there that are considerably higher priced and they are stylish. No more old people looking shoes, although, I may be considered "older" now, I don't have to look like it ;) There isn't one negative thing that I can say about these. ... show more

I love these shoes! They look nice, match everything, stay securely tied, and don’t slip on wet tiles. They fit great and the toe box is nice and wide so my toes don’t feel squished. They’re breathable so my feet don’t get sweaty. They’re lightweight and so comfortable that I’m not in a hurry to take them off when I get home. I’m an elementary teacher, so I’m on my feet all day. I used to wear Nike runners and my feet would still hurt by the end of the day and I’d have to buy a new pair every 5-6 months. I’ve had these for 6 months and they’re still like new. The soles are still solid. My feet haven’t hurt since I bought them. I was reluctant to spend so much on shoes, but I’d do it again in heartbeat. ... show more

These are the best walking shoes I have ever had. I walk 4+ miles daily. My feet were beginning to hurt quite a bit during and after walks. I read up on the best shoe for my type of walking and these were at the top of the list. Did not disappoint. I wore them in the house first and was blown away at the comfort. My feet felt better IN the shoes than barefoot. Now my feet do not hurt at all, even at the end of the last mile. They provide cushion and support like I have never felt. This has made such a huge difference in how I experience getting 10k-15k steps each day. No more shin pain, no more burning pain at the bottom of my feet. I kinda wish I had bought a more neutral color that goes better with any workout outfit. My only issue is that the front of the sneakers is a little bit snug so for outdoor walking that takes you over variable terrain, that impacts the toes. Every tendon has been inflamed at some point, and I’ve had Achilles tendinitis three times. I’ve been searching for a shoe I can trust to take me through marathon training—and I found it! I have planter fasciitis and other foot issues. I just paid $400 for custom orthotics. I than saw an article about this shoe and i had to buy it. Amazon had it on sale too. Honestly, it is not an attractive shoe. Ive owned New Balance shoes for years and for the first time, I actually thought of returning them just for the looks. The souls of the shoes stick out so far underneath the shoe it just makes them so huge. I already have large feet and it makes my feet look gigantic. Once I tried them on, I didn’t care. It’s the first shoe I’ve ever felt that once you take a step, you really are walking on air, even with my orthotic on I have a severe injury to my spine so walking is difficult for me, but with this shoe walking is so much easier I highly recommend it for people who have spinal injuries for the first time in years I can walk for quite a long time without a lot of pain in my feet. I do wish that they put a loop on the back of the heel to make it easier to put on that would really help the elderly so I’m not really sure why they didn’t do that. I bought the shoe in white so it’s hard to keep up keeping it clean and they don’t recommend you’ve washed it in the washing machine, so I have to wash it by hand, that is something to keep in the back of your mind if you want to buy it in white. I am a heavier set person and I feel that probably the last anywhere from six months to a year so replacement will be that often and this is an expensive shoe. I’ve been telling my friends about this shoe who have back injuries and I don’t do that very often. So if you’ve been looking for a shoe and you have a spinal injury give this one a shot I think you’ll enjoy it. ... show more
