I am a plus size woman and struggle to find shoes that fit and last. New Balance have been my go to brand for quite a while. Was disappointed when I couldn't find any durable ones that were fashionable until I bought the New Balance Garoe Trail Running shoes. I bought them Jan 4, 2024 and am still wearing them almost daily in October. I am ordering a new pair as we speak but will continue to wear these until they are completely done. I got the black w/sea salt flecks... pretty cool and kooky looking sneakers. I have another pair of NB sneakers which are GREAT for walking so I bought these as well. I am narrow feet 8.5-9, and the 9 regular width NB fit me fine. I can put a thin additional insole for my heel, and I wear thin to medium socks and all is well. The only little thing is the heel of the sole has quite the funky bit sticking out behind- so much so that when i am walking downstairs I can often feel the heel rubbing on the stair risers behind my foot.. bit of an odd sensation but not consequential. Overall I like these and would buy again as long as they are on sale. The black with 'sea salt' flecks are very fun looking and extremely comfortable for me for walking miles and miles on pavement and asphalt like i do. ... show more

9.5 wide. This is one of the best pair of NB shoes I own, and I own a lot of them. I just rarely get rid of them. I ordered a half size larger, which is the usual, since they run a bit smaller than other brands. They are vey cushy and yet stable on the sides. This one does have the wide toe box and narrow heel, which they never publish, so its a crapshoot. I'm going to order another pair. ... show more

Well I was looking for good shoes for people on their feet all day. Among all the brands I couldn't afford, I saw that New Balance is recognized by podiatrists. I can afford New Balance, I thought. I still spent $90 on these shoes titled Fresh Foam. I expected softness, foamy, cloud like comfort when i put my foot inside . I got none of that. In fact, the shoe felt hard as a rock in the bottom. I guess the fresh foam refers to the bottom that you stand on. The phrase fresh reminds me of the 80's just like this scribble, paint design on the bottom of the shoe. I must've missed that in the picture. I found it ugly and immediately colored over that with a black market. So now I have spent almost $100 on shoes that I find to be rather uncomfortable and ugly. I've given it a couple weeks now and I can say these things: the toe protect is just a waterproof barrier but keeps toes from getting wet in puddles. These do NOT qualify as slip resistant and will in fact send you skating . The main body of the shoe is net which I didn't notice when ordering. Not the warmest shoes for winter. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone and I wouldn't buy them again either. I'm still on the hunt for some good shoes that make my feet happy. This foam isn't fresh enough for me. ... show more

Comfortable for wider feet. Lots of comfort on the bottom, the laces are too short but once replaced theyre great shoes. Good to wear for long periods of time.
