  • Probably the nicest, most comfortable sneaker I have ever owned
Size: 7 Color: Quarry Blue/Chrome Blue/Sea Salt
I just bought this New Balance women's fresh foam 680 v8 running shoe and it is a winner. My former treadmill and workout shoes were also thick soled, but there were two layers to the sole, and they started to separate. This New Balance shoe has one solid sole and is very comfortable, spongy and bouncy. I wear a true 7 and these are snug with my workout socks on but will stretch just enough over time as the top is a synthetic material. If you are between sizes, I would recommend ordering up a half size. I feel very stable in these shoes even though the base does not extend beyond the sides as my other shoe did. The sole does not feel slippery. I like the light blue color with the contrasting green sole, but you do not see much of that while wearing. As one ages, the soles of our feet seem to get thinner, and I truly recommend these sneakers even for everyday wear for older (over 60) individuals. I sincerely recommend these for people who are on their feet all day. I wore mine a few days ago all day to “break them in”, but that was not necessary as these fit perfectly from the moment I put them on; no binding, no blisters, no problems. I hope to enjoy these for a few years of heavy use. Positives: • Well made solid one piece sole • Breathable • Good arch support • Exactly as advertised • Nice color selection • Attractive • Many positive reviews online • Reasonable price Negatives: • None 5 stars ... show more

  • Comfortable / Good Buy / Meet my needs
Size: 6 Wide Color: Black/Light Gold Metallic/Black Metallic
SUMMARY: Comfortable, run a tad small (see below for details), sturdy construction, good price point. Buying shoes online can be a challenge. I did a lot of research using runrepeat.com and decided on these New Balance Fresh Foam 680 V8. I'm not a competitive runner. I mostly power walk/sprint for exercise about 3-4 times a week, so I can't comment on these shoes from a "marathon" runner perspective. COMFORT: Comfortable for both walking and running, however I wouldn't rate them as super cushiony. I haven't experienced any pinching or rubbing. I typically prefer a more pronounced cut-out in the heel (looks like a V) to minimize heel rubbing, but so far so good. ARCH SUPPORT: About medium, which is fine for my foot. If you need a more supportive arch, then you may want to pass on these or think about supplementing with inserts. DURABILITY: Fabric durability scored high (runrepeat), which is good news considering a lot of mesh shoes end up with blow-outs in a short period of time (UGH!). The bottom soles also scored high - Since they're new, I can only say time will tell and I'll update my review if I determine otherwise. SIZING: These run a bit small, but based on my research, I knew that and ordered a half size up in wide. I'm a true 5.5 B and the size 6 W fit me fine, with ample room, but not so much that they flop around on my foot. OTHER: I'm old school and like to lace/tie my on shoes so "I" can decide how loose or snug I want them on my feet. These have that (Yay!). COST: New Balance has a pretty solid reputation for producing quality shoes. At the time of my purchase, I found these to be a good buy @ $64.99. ... show more

  • Super Comfortable Right Out of the Box!
Size: 10 Color: Angora/Arid Stone/Angora
I’ve been wearing the New Balance Fresh Foam 680 V8s for a few weeks now and I absolutely love them. They were comfortable the moment I put them on—no break-in period needed. The cushioning and stability feels great, especially if you’re on your feet a lot like I am. I've gone through a ton of shoes trying to find something comfortable enough to wear daily with my hammer toe issues. They’re lightweight but still feel supportive, and I’ve noticed way less foot fatigue after long walks or errands. The fit is true to size, and the breathable mesh keeps my feet cool even on warmer days. Also, I really like the way they look—sleek and simple, but still stylish enough to wear out and about. Overall, they’re a great everyday shoe for comfort, support, and value. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • New Balance 680 V8
Lightweight, comfortable, and cute. They have held up well after many uses. I did not really like the insole that came with it so I bought some Powersteps and it helped the stability. These shoes, by the way are version 8. I previously had V7 and I liked that stability better.

  • Comfortable and lightweight with a good sole
I have worn New Balance shoes for many years. In the last decade or so, I have started always ordering a half size larger and in wide width for comfort. I chose this pair of shoes over some of the lesser priced ones based on reviews. When these arrived they were perfectly new and well packaged. I had hoped that the insoles would be removable since I like to use my own arch support insoles, but these are not removable. I tried them on and walked around in the house for a couple hours to see how they felt. They are lightweight, have a good feel to the interior with some arch support, and the outer sole is on the thicker side giving them some "bounce". Overall, I believe I am going to be very happy with this purchase. EDIT: The first time I washed these, they came out wonderful AND the insoles could then be removed and I could put in my custom ones. YAY ... show more

  • Weeeee
Size: 9 Color: Peach Nectar/White/Permafrost
As soon as I put my foot in this shoe I knew. Then I walked and didn’t want to stop. I wear for work a ton of standing and walking all day. I searched high and low no price matter for work shoes and this ended up being the Best shoe ever. Light and sturdy airy. I sized to be sure my toes were fully extended and then I loosen the laces from the bottom to the top. Each on not loose not tight …no pressure on the lace you can see when it starting to tug go back and be sure not to put laces tight. On a cloud. I was tromping around like a wiener because they are so comfy and amazed by how each step is so comfy. I was getting aches from doing it the first to days. So I went back to walking Normal and all was well. Great price point . There cheers for Whoever did this for us!! Hip hip hooray Hip hip hooray Hip hip hooray! For He’s a jolly good fellow! Which nobody can deny! Flintstones style I make tire screeching noises because it seems appropriate. I do refer to them as my new rides. lol I hope you have as much fun as I am! ... show more

  • Would NOT buy again
Super cute and comfy but NOT durable in the slightest. Within a few months the soles are peeling and the fabric is ripping

  • Nice and Cushiony - Run a little small
Size: 10 Color: Quarry Blue/Chrome Blue/Sea Salt
I was looking for a running shoe with lots of cushion and good arch support to replace my old Hokas. These were half the price, and so far, so good! They are very comfortable, with the exception that the toe box isn't quite as wide as I'd like. (In the past, NB sneakers that I bought had a wide toe box; this particular style does not, unfortunately.) I went for a 4-mile run in the new shoes and all was great. Two days later I ran another 4 miles; this time I added an insert, as I'm currently healing from plantar fasciitis. That made the shoe a little too snug at the toes, causing one foot to become a little numb during my run. I normally wear a 9.5 in running shoes, but bought a size 10 based on reviews that this shoe runs small. Smart move. Overall, a lightweight, comfy shoe with good cushioning and arch support. ... show more
