I used Brooks Ravenna for years. It was the only shoe that fit me. Brooks did away with the Ravenna model and provided a different model that was supposed to be the same as Ravenna. I absolutely love these shoes. I love them so much that I ordered 6 pairs in various colors. These shoes are so comfortable and my feet do not slide forward at all. I suppose that because of their upward shape, they help make my feet look a little smaller, not bulky or wide, which is great for ladies with large feet like me. I love these shoes! They provide a lot of cushion for my 3 mile daily walks. I was initially concerned when I tried them on and the back of the shoe was very flexible...I was afraid that the shoe would slide up and down on my heel as I walked. But it doesn't and that flexibility in the back of the shoe makes them very easy to put on. I will certainly buy this shoe again. I normally wear a ladies 10 or 10 1/2. Horrified about how Iā€™ll be able to walk around this time next year now that this shep is done. The 1080v11 is the only shoe I can find that comes in extra wide and doesnā€™t have a ā€œsnug fitā€ that compresses the crap out of my feet. I have sciatic nerve compression and small fiber neuropathy, which hurt my feet. On top of that I have erythromelalgia, so compression also causes my feet to swell and literally burn up. The right shoe is the difference between being able to stay on my feet or not, and I donā€™t really know what Iā€™ll do once the ones I have wear out. I will never be able to afford custom made shoes regularly- itā€™s cheaper to buy a mobility aid. And itā€™s ridiculous that it doesnā€™t have to be that way of New Balance would just remain inclusive. These wear out so fast and Iā€™m praying theyā€™ll release another version similar to this, or another brand will put out something similar. It sucks because New Balance has decided to stop making extended widths when they used to, excluding us from their target audience. This is probably the best athletic shoe Iā€™ve ever worn. Iā€™ve worn Brooks the past 10 years and they are great shoes. But this shoe is very lightweight, comfortable and the way it fits the back of my heal is wonderful. Thatā€™s the first thing I noticed when I saw this shoe on a friend of mine. I love these shoes for comfort and my neuropathy, they stretch and let my feet breath. This is my third pair of them in a year and a half. The back starts to breakdown and tear after 6 months or so, but for comfort I can't beat them.

These are the best activewear shoe. I try to walk a couple miles a day and these keep my joints from screaming. I love the fit but I do have to go up a half size. Also, they wear out very fast. The soles aren't fully covered with the harder rubber so it looks like they are tearing on the bottom after a couple of wears.
