First off buy a size bigger. All the reviews that say they run small are true. I bought the black with purple letter & When I opened the box I hated the way they looked. I chose black because I use these on my daily dog walks and my shoes get dirty quickly. So after wearing these I think they will be perfect. Seem to be really well made. I do have to wear orthotics for my high arch. They have a "toe guard" that is really nice because I have over pronation and I wear my shoes off on the inside toe area from the way I walk. These new balance are super comfortable to wear allday! I have plantar fasciitis and I am very picky on buying the best shoe for my feet. I can wear these allday with no feet pain!

After reading reviews about the small toe box, I ordered a 9.5 - normally I would order a 9 in athletic shoes, but when they arrived the 9.5 were too small in the toe. Ordered a size 10! Fit fine. I am a true size 10, and when I first tried these on my toes were hitting the front of the shoe. I have about 10 or 15 miles on them now and they have loosened up a little, but when I am going downhill on a hike I can still feel my toes getting jammed up in the front, but it's not so bad that I can't wear them and I don't end up with pain afterwards.
